Audrey Hepburn is one of mine but I have many her is a clip from her reading from Anne Franks diary this is one of my favorites of her. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJj5RoLAhzwThey both expereincef a side of the war that was a life of watching human kind being destroyed but both used the experience to add knowledge and awareness to what war can do to children. Share a icon you have and a little synopsis of why or what they did that has affected you.

For me it has to be Dolly Parton. I know some people criticize her for her appearance, but I actually think it's quite empowering. I see it as that she admits it's all fake, but she does it because she wants to and why shouldn't she. Im a total feminist, but I think if a woman wants to get glammed up she has as much right to without criticism as a woman who wants to dress down. Also, im a massive book worm and love the fact that Dolly created her own charity to provide free nice books for every child in America and the UK and is increasing the scheme all the time all over.
Oh, and I'm going to see her in concert soon and am so excited! It was my treat from my other half for my being "brave", and a treat to my mum for looking after me!xxx
