Ok, I noticed on day 21, in the am, that I was quite wet down there and that it has a very slight rust color to it. I thought I was spotting, but it is something completely different that has never happened to me bfore. That was thursday and it is still going on! Copious amts of this stuff all of the time, I fill up a panty liner every hour. Went to er and they did a pap. Said that it isn't serious b/c nothing coming out of cervix. Test results should come back soon and whatever it is they test for and get back immediately was all negative. No itching or anything like that. Smells kind of like salt/vingar potato chips...

how are you doing? Did you ever find out what it was? That's really strange.

Could it be the cervix? It sounds a bit like what I had when my cervix was healing after treatment for dodgy cells. The rusty stuff (a bit like red coffee granules) was the scab of the wound where they took the cells away...though having said that I suppose if they looked at the cervix they would have noticed. Strangely the smell you mentioned is like what I had when i had a colposcopy where they put vinegar and iodine on the cervix and then took a biopsy of it.
Probably not much help actually, but just a thought!xxx

Could be bacterial vaginosis? Did you get checked for it? I had a friend that kept getting it. Took a while for it to clear up for her, but for most, a simple round of antibiotics often does the trick.

Second on the BV possibility. It is not uncommon to have an increase in discharge and/or change in color of discharge with BV - this often precedes any itching or pain. Antibiotics are needed to clear it up!

I was thinking BV too. It can be pretty weird in its symptoms.
BV is basically a imbalance in the bacteria in your vagina, and so y ou have to get on antibiotics to clear it up. There are also lots of hippy treatments to help balance your bacteria normally. I think rite aid even has a homeopathic BV treatment.

Hello, I picked up the results yesterday after work and it was just "heavy growth of normal genital flora" - no yeast, fungus, or trichenomas. Geesh, how freaking annoying. I hope it never happens again. I told my husband he was right - it was about 4 days before he was to come home after being gone for a yr - he said that my hormones were going wacky b/c my body was getting ready for him lol
It stopped on the 30th.

yeah, that sounds like BV. Hope it didn't slow you and your husband down too much!
