In my endocrine class last week we talked about this health supplement. This supplement is an anti-free radical agent and helps keep your cells healthy and reduce risk of cancer. I was reading online reviews about it and everyone raves about how it helps with fatigue and inflammation. This is endocrinologist recommended so I'm really wanting to try it! I just wanted to pass the info along!

I've seen that before... When I have more time, I'll dig up the info I think I might have.

I WANT IT! If it does half of what the online reviews claim it does then I WANT IT! My endocrine teacher swears it's the fountain of youth.

So day 2 of taking this crap and HOLY COW today I felt like I could jump through the roof! I don't know if this the supplement making me feel this way but I haven't had this much energy in a LONG time. It's almost too much energy like I'm going to crawl out of my skin. I am going to lower the dose to 1 pill in the morning an 1 in the afternoon. I feel like I'm on crack or something. The other thing I noticed is that my appetite is really crazy today. I started taking this with a high dose of Vitamin D so I really can't pin point what's causing this feeling for sure but holy cow if this is the new me then I'm HOOKED!

I crashed really hard right at 5pm. It's still an improvement from what I'm used to which is feel like sh*t all day dragging and then crash at 1p. I'm going to try to alter the dosage and see what happens.

"Under-active thyroid (hypothyroidism): There is some concern that acetyl-L-carnitine might interfere with thyroid hormone. Don’t use acetyl-L-carnitine if you have an under-active thyroid."
Well that sucks.
It's also not good for people who drink a lot of alcohol. I like everything else about it though. I'm going to keep taking it and see how I feel in a month. It's more help than any doctor has ever offered me. I have been doing to doctors for 9 months now, spent well over $2000 and have gotten ZERO help. I'm getting desperate.

Thank you for posting that Karen. I actually see that my dosing was completely off. LOL I took two at one time and was wired until 5pm and then crashed. The dosage I need is actually three pills spread through out the day. That explains a lot!

There was a mention of blood thinners, too, but I think you're off those now?
Don't get me wrong, I'm ALL for supplements than can help, but it just helps to know potential conflicts and side effects. And I'm glad you'll adjust the dose! Wonder if it'll affect your sleep at all if you take the last one too late in the day?

I'm off of the stupid blood thinner shots into the stomach but I'm still taking an oral dose. I saw that side effect but I really don't care at this point. I NEED some help. I need to follow up with the hematologist soon to see if I can go off them but I just can't stand the thought of seeing another doctor. I'm getting a CT scan of the chest next week with my abdominal scan so they can probably confirm that I'm in the clear now.

WHOA I woke up feeling really good today! I slept really really hard in a super deep sleep. This was the first time I've slept all night in a long time. I feel like my PMS is a lot better today too. I don't feel an ounce of rage! YAY! I'm sooo hoping this stuff is really working!!!
