I cannot cook, but I can make this soup (Cass look away now!) It is literally a save-all, you can put what you want in, use whatever stock of veg (organic, seasonal etc) you want to, steam or boil the veg beforehand (steaming is better for retaining vitamins and flavour) And the recipe is non-existent... All I did was steam a load of veg (broccoli, white cabbage, turnip, carrot, vine ripened tomatoes, potatoes, some strange dimply looking cabbage and a few other things) then blend it together with some vegetable stock, fry an onion and a pile of garlic together, and add it. I literally just throw it all in a blender and add things to taste Next I'll be trying it with red cabbage, white cabbage, leeks, carrots, sweet potato, stringless beans, parsnips. Next time after that, I'm experimenting with lentils I think the whole point is, it's so simple, tastes lovely and is full of good stuff. Plus, if you freeze it into portions, you can defrost in a pan for a quick snack If you have a particular ailment or need, you can change your recipe accordingly, like more spinach and broccoli if you're low on iron, or more fibrous stuff to aid with constipation and so on Anyone found a particularly good combination of veg to throw into a blender?

Me too! I also use my blender as my soup preparation! Once a week I cook a big pot of soup, every week I used more quantity of a particular veggie, like for example the past week I used more cauliflower and then add other veggies, like onions, garlic, sweet potato, potato, ginger and also add some dulce (algae very good for you!) and cook and the done all into the blender and to the fridge and I just warm it up to eat at dinner time. So on this way you ensure a portion of veggies daily! full of vitamins, minerals and very good for your bowels and keep you regular. Also I add olive oil when cooking and try to use all organic veggies when posible. Then when I eat it just after warming eat up I add a spoon of flax seed oil (also good for you!) and then all ready to go.
