Really sorry if this has been discussed before. I keep meaning to look it up, but I forget, and I wanted to post before I went to bed.
Since September, whenever someone (myself or doctor) pushes on my abdomen in the right spot, it feels like someone has just sucker punched me in the stomach. It hurts so much I want to cry. If it is not being pushed on, it does not hurt at all. It's to the right of my belly button, almost right next to it. I did have a laparoscopy three years ago so I'm sure adhesion could be a cause.
I went to a surgeon for a consult, he poked and prodded and finally decided it was either endo on my small intestine or muscle damage. The thing is... I'm not sure about the muscle damage thing. He had me tense my muscles and then poked where I said it hurt. He said "Right there?" and because I thought he was just verifying the location, I said yes. After the appointment, I started thinking that maybe he was actually asking if it hurt at that moment, which it didn't. So I don't think it's muscle injury if it doesn't actually hurt when I am flexed.
Obviously, the only way to find out if it's endo or adhesions is by another lap, which I am trying to avoid like the plague, at least until I can get the money/time to see a specialist like Dr. Redwine or someone similar. I don't fear surgery, but I don't really enjoy it, and the recovery is a b!tch.
I have also had severe IBS since I was 17, but my lap did not show any endo on my intestines--however, I'm not sure that she actually looked on them, or just checked out my uterus and immediate surroundings. That's another thing, I need to call and ask for a surgery report. Can anyone with endo on intestines confirm whether they've ever had this kind of pain?
