Help! I think my endo is litterally falling out! Warning: this may be too much info BUT...I get strands of veiny tissue, black in colour with blood. It just comes out. I can pull be pieces of it out or sometimes its just in my underwear or when I wipe after going to the washroom. Anyone else have this? When I pull large pieces out, I can feel a ripping sensation in my tummy. Anyone? I spoke to my doc about it and she said that it could be the Lupron shedding my uterine wall but.... really? I don't know.

Sorry, haven't had that. How large are we talking about when you mention large pieces? Is it just a clot? I know this would be way too much info, but perhaps the next time it happens, take a pic to show your doc?

after surgery, for weeks and weeks, I had these little tiny shreds of tissue coming out when I peed. literally there would be a little pile at the bottom of the toilet. they were tiny shreds pink colored. I puzzled and puzzled and finally thought it must be the endo she excised from my uterus that she must have LEFT in my uterus too? crazy. yeah take a picture please for your doc. It makes sense it has to go somewhere, so don't freak yourself out, just document that stuff and show your doc... sorry it's so disturbing!

Whoa that sounds kinda scary. I acutally do get these long strings of tissue during my period and it's really odd. But I can't say that mine look veiny like yours does. I'm glad you called your doctor about it.

Yep - I get that too. I also believe it's the endo coming out. Me and my hubby did a little experiment recently - using a powerful light and a video camera we were able to see my cervix. There was endo coming out of it. A few days later I had a lot of pain - a burning, ripping sensation in my abdomen and then strands of stuff on my underwear. Mine was red in color and thick, like a fettucine noodle. We looked inside again and the endo we saw earlier was gone. It really freaked me out seeing it with my own eyes, but I'm glad I got the visual. Like Pretty said, it has to go somewhere and better to have it out then in.

I'm not quite sure calling it "endo" is quite right. Endometriosis is when the lining of your uterus is in other places in the abdominal cavity. But if this same tissue is coming out of your cervix then it's your endometrial tissue which is what is supposed to happen when we have our periods. I do agree that these large pieces of tissue are a little strange. The lining of the endometrium is supposed to degrade and then shed, not come out in huge pieces! I wouldn't call it endo coming out though because for this tissue to be classified as endometriosis it has to be in other parts of the abdominal cavity. It's SUPPOSED to come out of the cervix and out of the body.

This might be a stretch, but any chance you're miscarrying? Whether you are or if it's just a clot of sorts, I've heard many women say the cramping gets worse when passing a clot just due to the size, which may explain some of the tugging feeling that you have?
But, yes, as Jenaya said, anything coming out of your cervix is likely uterine lining, whereas endo nodules are outside of the uterus and therefore don't leave the body through the uterus/cervix/vag.

Thanks everyone! I'm not miscarrying for sure. I don't have tubes and I'm on lupron. I get this stuff coming out all the time. I will take a picture of it next time it happens. The longer strands are very long...6 inches? I felt like it was a clown scarf when I was pulling it out...never ending! Since I've been on the diet though I haven't had it happen as often.

Hmm, yes, I'd be wanting answers too! When you say you're going to take pics...do you mean to take to your doc?

I've noticed lately the long pieces of tissue you mentioned. I don't know if it's the same thing, but it almost looks like a really long piece of peeled off skin (like from a sunburn)...only red. It was like 6 inches long and very thin, but it was clearly tissue vs. a clot. I mentioned it to my doctor, and it didn't seem to be anything she'd never heard of.

Yes Tewlie, thats exactly what its like for me. Not a clot but tissue. That's why I feel like its endo because it could be lining or something. I see my doc on the 8th of March and I will ask her then. I guess pictures for my doc. I think it may be too gross to post here.

Sounds familar not exactly the same but when I bleed it was odd strands sometimes. I wouldn't of called it endo tho. Take a specimen to the doc. Its crazy that we have all had similar experiences with this. Good Luck I hope your doc can figure it out. Keep us posted
