Dont know if I spelt it correctly but i go to the docs today for a bunch of testing. For the last year or so I have had pain in the breast bone, pain in the back of my neck, pain in the lumbar spine, numbness and tingling in the hands, arms and feet and pain that shoots down both sides of my hips.
The told me it was inflammation and damage to the sciatic nerves and joints. Apparently Fibromyalgia is the last thing they wanted to check for but now that my anti-inflammatory meds aren't working they now decide it may be this.
Anybody know what's involved in the testing?

Fibromyalgia is really similar to CFS/ME, I thought there were no solid tests except for spinal fluid testing which they never do, simply because it's way too painful for just a simple test. Usually they just use the process of elimination from a bunch of other and much less painful tests like blood, urine etc. I was diagnosed 5 years ago just from blood tests. I could be wrong, maybe it's something to ask google edit: I think I was on the right track, this is a pretty good reference. www.fibromyalgia-symptoms.org/fibromyalgia_diagnosis.html

Thanks Tigerlilyb....thats extremely helpful. Im not into self diagnosing via the internet but I have every single one of those symptoms. They have ruled out arthritis, hormone imbalance, infection and anemia via blood work so what else is left? I do have cancer(non-hodkins lymphoma) but from what my doctor said, cancer will not cause the other symptoms. They better not try and do a TAP because I will run, as fast as I can right out of the office. I am a very big coward when it comes to needles.
