So, I've been searching online trying to find an endo walk and am coming up totally empty. I did find that the Endo Assn had one in 2002!! Really? Nothing since 2002? That's depressing. How will we gt the word out if we don't do things like this?
Please tell me I'm missing something obvious.

I asked the Endo Association about that a few years ago and they said walks don't raise much money, they're too expensive to put on. I get that, but I also think the awareness might be a bigger deal than the money sometimes... Someday, right?

That's what I say, the awareness is key! They *would* raise more money IF there was more support...and that's only going to come with awareness. Grr...

I also know they're super short staffed with next to no budget so I'm sure that has something to do with it...

Its hard for anyone to walk but someone started walks for the friends and family to support the cause by walking with or for the sick family member. It sounds like a huge project to take on but a walk in your town may not as ne as tough as one may think. Contact your chamber of commerce first to see if they can give you support then the ymca or ywca for walkers and since its a womans disease more may be interested in participating put out flyers at your local library or brochures for patrons. I walk the breast cancer walk on october and it started with just a few and now is huge thousands come. It starts with us for awareness I have a thread I will update for newbies I have a link for a brochure I use for endo awareness month in march.
