This just blew my mind ladies. They guy who popped my cherry, 20 years ago, and then up and joined the army (but still wrote me love letters lol) just friended me on FB!
Totally blew my fricking mind!
He used to have a mohawk and a leather jacket, and if I remember right, smoked Marlboro Reds.
He now runs 50 mile marathons, does Iron Man, and works for Disney!
My mind, is , blown. He also saved a poem I sent him that I wrote when I was 14!!! he scanned it and sent it to me! WTF.
I seriously, seriously, NEVER thought to hear from him EVER again, much less with my poem.

OMG! Something similar happened to a college friend and 'the one that got away'. She was in awe for weeks/months. You must have made quite an impression on the guy! Of course, we wouldn't expect anything but that from you, Pretty!

I'm still in shock. I was in love with this guy, right before my life took several nasty turns, including my mom getting leukemia (she lived, lol), me having 2 giant surgeries for bone cysts, dropping out of highschool, and just generally my life going to sh*t. So thinking back to that time period has really wierded me out to say the least. And he doesnt know any of that stuff either. I'm not sure about it all, but it's nice to see his face on my friends list!

Well I know people say things happen for a reason and it's so random and sweet, I'm interested to see what happens from here! So yeah he's been in the army, runs huge marathons and generally treats his body as a temple, and look at everything you've experienced in the meantime too! I bet if he knew, he'd be blown away. It looks like your first love was a huge benchmark, they usually are but yours was unbelievably so!

Neat story but I'd be pissed if I knew an ex was contacting my husband on facebook - be careful, you don't want your hubbys feelings to be hurt by someone from the past. I never did facebook because I'm not really interested in idiots from the past contacting me.

Believe it or not, both my husband and I have exs as friends on facebook. We are pretty secure in our relationship not to be intimidated by it (I wasn't always this understanding though). His first love is on his friend's list but she turned out to be a lesbian. hehehehhee. But even if she were straight, I wouldn't be worried. But like CG said, some people aren't cool with it! If you really feel the need, you could always tell the hubby about it. But I really don't think it's a big deal. Have fun down memory lane!

yeah, sometimes these things can cause a major rift in a relationship. Everyone is different but I personally wouldn't like it and don't think that doors from the past should be opened again. I'm not jealous, just out of respect for me I wouldn't appreciate it very much. No biggie, just my thoughts. It is very flattering though that he kept the poem!

I feel you Nicole, but Hubby has NO interest in FB and fortunately for me (since I know everyone, and my nickname is pretty, and have MANY guy and girlfriends) he is NOT jealous at all. Actually I'm more the jealous one. It's like my little secret.... tee hee.....

OH gotta love the internet! Otherwise these things would not be possible! And Chica, I can totally understand that feeling. Definitely a good point.

Just think, back in the "olden days" people had to look us up in the phone book! Oyie! The internet is a very powerful tool, sorta scary what people can find - freaks me out, almost like there is zero privacy!

Seth won't have a thing to do with fb bc clients are always using it in divorces. He knows I have exes on mine and doesn't care and if he had a page I wouldn't care either. Its nice to catch up w people but sometimes a request can annoy me I have about 20 I won't confirm. Exes of friends that I'm like what are they thiking you screwed by friend over and want me on your page lol noway!
