I am 34 years old and got diagnosed with endometrosis this past September. never knew I had it til I ended up in ER with a bowel obstruction. spent 13 days in the hospital and a temp colostomy bag for 6 months. only 2 and half months left with the "bag". getting married next Dec. by then will be 35 and a half. really want to try to have a baby. my gyno said it will be extremly difficult for me to get preg. my endometrosis was the worse case he ever seen according to him. has anyone gotten pregnant with stage 4 endometrosis? I am on lupron depot injections. and dr wants me on them til my wedding gets close. they won't even know if they are working til mid March when they open me back up to reverse the colostomy. I am just devestated about never being able to have a baby of my own and can't stop crying.

Hi, please don't give up hope. Endo, no matter how sever, doesn't always have to mean infertility.

Alot of woman can still get pregnant my sister has 3 girls and she has severe endometriosis. I was able to have 1 boy. When I was diagnosed it was long after I had my son and I got Stage 4 diagnosis too. Not once did my doc ever say I couldnt have children bc of my endometriosis.Like Helen said dont give up hope. It could still happen your life is not set in stone. These days woman have so many options for conceiving. Good Luck~

Endo doesn't mean you can't have kids, it really doesn't. Keep hanging on in there, there are answers for you doll - staying positive is hard but it will help you think clearly and stay on top of everything xx

We've even had a member with Stage V (when the endometriosis penetrates the bowel wall) get pregnant!

My sister was diagnosed with Stage IV endometriosis and had an ovary removed.. but through in vitro she was able to get pregnant and had two little boys. I think she still had eggs frozen so she may try to have some more kids within the next couple years. Don't give up hope!!

We've also had quite a few stage IV's get pregnant naturally through fertility awareness methods when they were told IVF was the only way! Definitely dont' give up hope, even on natural methods. Natural or IVF, if you have a uterus, there is hope!

My twin sis has 3 amazing girls and she was told 8 years ago my niece would be her last. She has a new baby niece 6months old and adorable. I'm Stage 4 and had my son he is 11 I do not know when my endo got so bad could of been before I had him I'm guessing it was after tho. Do not give up hope. I do not even have a uterus but if I wanted a child there is alaways a way.
