My tubal ligation was 3 weeks ago. I'm pretty much recovered from that and back to normal daily life.
But what has been concerning ever since the tubal has been this constant lightheaded feeling. I brought it up with my doc at my follow-up. She said that the initial anesthesia and percocets can leave one feeling lightheaded immediately following the surgery. I agreed and told her that's why I stopped taking the percocets the day after the surgery.
Doc didn't think the constant lightheaded-ness was related to the surgery and suggested I go see my regular GP as it may be inner ear related.
Just curious... anyone else have extended period of lightheadedness following a tubal ligation or other laproscopic surgery?
What I was worried about was that I was having internal bleeding due to the laproscopic procedures and was getting lightheaded because of that. One night recently, the lightheadedness progressed quickly into full-on vertigo! Had to send hubby to the store for some Meclizine. Awful.

I can't say I've experienced that - the only time I have was when I was on meds that I could blame it on. How's your diet these days? Are you eating well? Getting enough water? Enough iron in your diet? I know it can take a while for your body to recover from surgery, but it sounds like your best bet is getting it checked out!

I only had that because the pain killers made me really dizzy. There are so many causes for light headedness. The causes of light headedness I can think of off the top of my head are dehydration, low blood pressure, and anemia. Also if you are spending a long time laying down recovering, sometimes you can have low blood pressure. Do you notice it more when you first stand up?
But I agree with Karen, it's always best to ask your doctor. But best case scenario is that it just goes away!

Nope, the lightheadedness comes at any time. I'm guessing it's mostly because of my anemia. My pre-op blood tests showed I was pretty anemic (which is normal for me apparently), so I'm guessing it's that.
I think I'll go in after the holidays and get re-checked.
