All,
I heard from Keri today, just a little bit. Sounds like she had a bladder and bowel resection. She said it's been hard, but the staff and doctors have been awesome.
If you could, please send her some love and support

So glad you heard from Keri, Karen. Have you heard any other updates? I hope that this surgery will give Keri a new life, with much less pain.

Thank you girls for always looking out for me. Surgery was hard 4 days in the hospital but I was treated great. Bowel resection, bladder and both ovaries removed. My main issues were not with the surgery but of course again the medication. Diluted a very strong pain medication so strong that for 11 days I have amnesia do not remember could be a good thing. When I awoke tho my recovery has been amazing. I set a goal to be out of the house by September 1st and was able to accomplish it 2 days ahead of schedule. I feel pain but have not needed to take anything more than Ibuprofen once a day if needed most of the time I am fine. My follow up is on the 17th and I hope to be back 100% I will keep everyone posted.

Hello. I am not quite sure what all has happened to you Keri, since I have not been here and have just returned to the boards. But I am glad you are doing better. And I do very much know what it is like to be neglected by doctors....still fighting though.
Again, I am glad you are feeling better and that your surgery went well. -gentle hugs-

Hi Girls! Missing everyone & wishing healing thoughts for all. I am doing good very busy with work & a 13 year old that I swear is really in his 20's My health is mostly good since surgery.....I still get sick from my job I pick up every cold, flu bug. But I knew that would never go away. Bowel surgery has been great & will never regret that. Menopause has been a good & fairly easy transition. The worst part about estrogen is my boobs have grown about two sizes bigger than my norm & being a full chest anyways I am all boobs! I have alot more good days now every so often a really bad day hits with a bad headache yes I still get those & I have to wear my Jackie glasses & stay out of light. I wanted to update everyone & wish all to have a HAPPY Holiday! Life is good I am not perfect but I have learned how to deal with what I have been given & am happy to say that I appreciate all of it good & bad.
