Wheat is always better than white but sprouted wheat is best, per all my recent research. I have switched (though I am not 100% faithful) and I notice improvements in general. Brown rice is WAY better than white rice. I have found a great brown rice at Trader Joes, if you live near that chain.

You can get bread made from sprouted wheat, and it's supposed to be healtheier somehow. I would go with wheat over rice. I have read that rice is not so good for endometriosis, but have read nothing bad about wheat. I know rumors fly that wheat is terrible for endometriosis, but have yet to find any evidence that this is true. Unless you have another health condition that makes wheat an issue, I see no reason to avoid it.

I agree, I guess it depends on your endo symptoms and if you have other conditions as well.
I dont have IBS or any form of wheat intolerance, ive been on an allergy diet in the past but have seen no reason to avoid wheat. I have decided to stick to the least refined products, like things made with whole wheat.
Its really up to you, and probs a bit of trial and error to find what aggravates and what heals. But wholewheat products will be the least refined and processed if your body can tolerate wheat.
I haven't heard about the rice thing being bad for endo??? Might have to look into that. But i do choose brown rice over white and find i feel healthier for it.

Whole wheat would have to be healthier than white rice, which is procesed. Have you thought about brown rice?

I can't find bread made with brown rice, they have spelt bread, but it's so hard, you can't even chew it.......... I love my whole wheat toast and miss it...............My husband found that bread all natural, but make with white rice, I have it in the morning with almond butter, it's good..................I have read that wheat is not good for endo in a book I purchase on this site I beleive........so that is why I stop eating wheat......................I may go back to it..............

Yah. Definitely try to add it back and see if you can handle it. Anything whole grain has to be healthier than processed and refined white rice.

In our country wheat and white rice are main foods. Brown rice is not available here. I eat home-made bread made form whole wheat flour twice a day and white rice once. I know to maintain healthy blood sugar whole wheat bread is better then white rice. But I have read also, wheat is bad for endo. So confused whether replace one meal of wheat with rice. I don't have any digestion or endo pain related problem from any food. From the discussion of the board I came to the conclusion that though wheat is not good for endo, but whole wheat is better than white rice if there is no 3rd alternative. Am i right?

Yep. Whole wheat is healthier than white rice. Wheat actually seems to help my endo pain, especially when I have my periods. So, I think each person is different in how grains affect endo.

I find that whole grains actually help me! And I always take a fiber supplement. I think it affects everyone differently, but if you find it doesn't harm you, go for it!
