So me & Mr. Last Summer (LS for short) has been getting on my better side lately. Last weekend we finally re-found the connection I remember us having last summer. And I like it! Was starting to get worried that it was gone. Sooo... he's coming over for dinner tomorrow night. I haven't cooked for many men since the endo diet so I'm a bit at a loss... But, if it's nice out, maybe just grilling out will do! I'm planning on getting all my testing done on Friday and since I want my results to show me at my worst, I'm quite hoping Mr. LS can wear me out good and proper Thursday night! HAHA yeah baby! Get your groove on. And the best way to a man's heart is grillin'!!!!

Just got back from an awesome morning with LS. There's a state park nearby that I've always wanted to go to. People in my life have suggested we go from time to time, but no one has followed through. Until today! That part in itself is very telling, that he followed through! It's one of his favorite places to go. We left early in the morning. It was foggy on the way there and then poof - the fog was gone and it was sunny! We climbed a huge bluff and walked around the base of another one. All in all, it was about a 5+ mile hike. So damn pretty up there, and so peaceful! I'm so incredibly glad I got to go, particularly with him. We had a lot to talk about, both on the car ride there and back and while we were hiking. We stopped for breakfast, then drove around the town a bit looking at the houses and commenting on what we'd do to the places. Sigh. All around, a good time!
It's only noon and I'm incredibly sore and tired. I see a nap in my future. But I'll have a smile on my face! Perfect, perfect morning!!!

Wow - that's really beautiful. Looks like a great place to visit - especially with good company. What's the name of the state park? We're right on the border of Illinois/Wisconsin. Just might have to see if I could manage that hike.

Thank you so much for the link. Looks like it's about 2 1/2 hours away but worth every minute! )

Yes, Lisa, you could easily make a day of it! I can't wait to go back. I am certainly feeling it today, though!

Aw, sorry your hurting today. I bet your still smiling though.
That's exactly what my hubby's concern is! When I told him it's so beautiful it's worth the 2 1/2 hour drive - he said, is it worth the pain you'll be in the days following? I have a feeling he and our 15 yr old son will be going there to camp looong before I get to see it.

I thought it was well worth it, though! We did a butt-kicking route, but there are easily other, less intense and just as beautiful trails, though! Although I'm wiped out and my muscles are sore, I'm still so glad I went. Not only did I get to experience that with him, but I gave my body the middle finger for the day. I don't care that it hates me today. I just had to prove to myself that I could do it! If I were you, I'd still try to at least go if they plan a trip... So beautiful!

A sweet lad/man from my gym has asked me out. But I like that gym so much and I don't know him too well so I said no. I'm getting told off a lot by friends but I don't think I'm ready. He strikes me as a worshipping and settling kind of guy and that's lovely but scary.
