Hi, has anyone experienced a sensitive stomach or digestive system due to taking painkillers? And if so have you found that adding or taking stuff out of your diet has helped repair the damage? I used to take a lot of ibuprofen, which has left me very senstive to anything with natural acids such as granny smith apples, any citrus fruits and things with chilli seeds. I have taken stomach tablets to allow my tummy to repair overnight, but still find my stomach is very sensitive. I do drink milk but would like to try other things, variety! xx

I have found that, too!!! If I take more than just one tab of naproxen sodium, my stomach bleeds. Same w/ aspirin. My gastro said that this is very common and just depends on where and how close to the surface of your stomach the vessels are. I've found that taking the meds. w/ food helps me a lot! And taking fiber after the meds. have kicked in also helps me.

Yeah I now take my supplements only after a meal cos the hair skin and nails one kills me otherwise! I have linseed every morning and evening which forms a little protective coating along my digestive tract as well which is good...
