Pretty, You are on the right path - just take it easy and don't rush things - the house can get cleaned tomorrow if you need to take a break - don't stress over the little things. I hope you're having a good night and are feeling better~!

I am SO sorry to hear this. How deflated you must feel. Your pain...the stabbing followed by the days of the hot and persistent ache is EXACTLY how I feel every month at ovulation. I do hope it's just your body getting reacquainted and things get BETTER from here.

Thanks ladies, I'm working on chillaxing more as my baby cousin would say ;0
Karen, I think PCOS myself, but no one has gone there. My ovaries were such a mess. Massive multiple cysts on and in each. I guess it amounts to the same thing. I think though with TCOYF I can get a much better handle on what it is.... and then have better notes/charts to show a doctor.... Anyhow, onward and upward.

Ok today is the first day since the after-surgery spotting stopped, that I've had spotting. This after all that ovarian pain last week. I've got my thermometer and I'm going to start temping in the morning, even though my period might be starting... Super excited to finally use this tool for my fertility education! Anyways feeling much more positive and now like I have a way to get much more insight into not just fertility but generally just being more in touch with my own body, feels like such the right thing to do. Thanks everyone for supporting me!

I'm glad things are looking better, girl.
I also think it's brilliant to get your hubby involved in the process. I think you guys will get even closer, throughout this experience.

Thanks everyone for supporting me! This is going to sound super dorky, but I was so excited the first time I saw my thermal shift! It's like this: you know when your car's engine light comes on, and you bring it in and they hook it up to a computer to tell you what's wrong with your car, and you wish you could have done something so simple yourself to trouble-shoot it and save yourself the money? That's what temping is like to me! Like you get to read your own body's diagnostic codes, figure out what's going on under the hood. It's kind of fun to put all that new knowledge to good use. I mean, you have a new engine these days, might as well make sure the engine codes are clear, right? ;0

Well, I've only charted my temp for two days but that combined with what I observed last week (alternating shooting ovary pain, first on Left then on Right) plus the spotting and cramping, makes me think my body is just trying to get started back up. I don't think I've ovulated yet (since surgery). My morning temp is very low, right at 97 today and 97.3 yesterday.... anyhow, I also have the super dorky excitement going on. I have maybe already learned too much.... have the cervical fluid as described for PCOS.... but definitely need lots more temping and a couple months of daily charting before I'm going to freak out about it. The only thing that doesn't make sense.... is everything. Always a danger when you learn something new!

My temps are quite low, so a temp in the mid 97s means I've ovulated! There's a whole temping thread out there somewhere, though I can't recall where at the moment! Brain fry at the moment...

Pretty YAY for cervical mucus! I also have a usual very low temp in the low 97's, wonder if that's a pattern for us with endo? This morning AGAIN my temp was around 95 - strange. I even mentioned it to my chiro who was stumped. I mentioned that MS symptoms could have temp changes like that and he said he was pretty confident I didn't have MS.

I'm not sure if it makes any difference, but I just wanted to toss it out there that my normal temp is also in the low 97's.
I hope the temp thing is working out for you!

Hey ladies, now it's been 3 months of daily temping and I've learned that my morning temp is just really low, but after morning it rises to normal ranges... also did have my Doc test my thyroid in a blood test, it was also normal.
Wanted to post this, I know how it is, someone who just had surgery will be trying to sort it out... well don't lose hope ok! it can take a long time, months and months, of paying close attention before you can see what's going on. My ovary pain has really reduced from these first posts and I think my original reaction of thinking it was just trying to get back on a schedule was correct. My cycle is back to being more regular and predictable and thank GOD my endo pain is so minimal anymore, more diet-related now than cycle-related...
anyway, just updating for any lurkers trying to figure sh!t out on their own, lol... love you ladies! hang in there!
