Hi, Tisha. Actually, butter is a lot healthier than margarine and a lot of the other substitutes. I dont' know of an "herbal" substitute...maybe peanut oil, but that definitely wouldn't taste like butter? Butter is pretty healthy. The only thing I do is try to use olive oil instead of butter whenever possible, bc it is an essential oil and very healthy. I use olive oil first, then butter.

Not a problem. I think there is a 5 minute delay or so. You were probably already signed off of the forum, and it showed you as still online. We'll catch up with each other sometime! Take care!

For cooking you can try olive oil or canola oil............and for your bread you can try almond butter....................

Organic "Buttery Spread" by Earth Balance. It's 100 % vegan. It's not herbal, but it is a substitute; tastes a lot like butter to me.
The ingredients say oil blend of "palm fruit, soybean, canola, olive," among other things.
But it is 9 grams of fat per TBSP, 80 calories! (Good for me, as I'm always trying to gain weight). No trans fat or cholesterol.

I haven't tried this yet but they say you can use Flax oil as butter for things that you don't cook. Flax oil can't be heated but can be put on potatoes or popcorn what ever you like. Flax aparently is highly recommended for people with endo. It's a little expensive that's why I haven't tried it yet but it should last a long time! They also say ground flax is good to put on just about anything adn is very good for the reproductive / hormones
