Ok, before anyone accuses me of wanting a child just to reduce my pain, that is not the case. We've previously discussed the notion of having a 3rd child (my children are 4 and almost 3) because we love kids. When I was pregnant with the other two, I had no endo symptoms until I finished nursing.
I had my kids back to back, so with nursing and pregnancy I had about 3 1/2 pain-free years. I figure if I have another child that will give me about a year and a half to two years without pain. If I continued to pump milk after that baby is weaned, do you think I could delay ovulation? I'm 29 and do not want a hysterectomy. I hate being on medication. I seem to get every possible side effect. I'm not crazy about hot flashes, bone loss, facial hair, headaches and nausea. I've tried Seasonale, Camila (generic ortho micronor) and generic Aygestin. I've refused Synarel and Lupron.
I'm not even sure if I am still fertile. My Dr. said that most women that have adenomyosis are infertile. So my pregnancy as a treatment idea may not even work. Has anyone tried this?
Also, I'm not super-great at being pregnant. I delivered my daughter at 35 weeks after PPROM at 32 weeks. I went into preterm labor at 24 weeks with my son and spent a week in the hospital (magnesium, tocolytics, etc). I had 13 weeks of strict bed rest. I developed severe oligohydramnios (low amniotic fluid) at 34 weeks and was induced for that reason at 37 weeks. My son spent a week in the NICU for respiratory distress syndrome. My 35 weeker didn't go to the NICU.
Thanks,
Laura
