Hi all. I am having a very bad, bad time these days. I am normally a very happy, active, educated person, but I can't take it anymore what this disease is doing to me. I hope someone can give me some advice on here. Doctors today just don't care, they are worried about their vacations more than their patients for one thing. Try to get an appointment and I have to wait 3 weeks? So I turn to this board.
After being diagnosed with endo w/out a lap (I am in the process of advocating that I need one at my next dr.'s appt. in 3 weeks - I know it may not solve the problem but it will hopefully give me answers as to what I am dealing with once and for all). So, THIS IS THE QUESTION: I have been on a progestin only bc pill since the end of January, I am a pack and a half in. By the 3rd day of these pills I started to feel terrible (the same pain I feel 5-12 days before my period, only with these pills all the time now). I have read and researched that it could take a few months for the body to get used to them (I am taking these pills for the treatment of endo, continuous bc pills). The pain is all the time, twisting, turning ovaries, abdominal bloating no matter how much I sweat it out at the gym, last night I was in so much pain I woke up soaking wet with sweat. The pain is excruciating. Of course, naturally, there are mood swings and painful breast tenderness ... which, mentally, I can get through that! That is the least of the problem. Its the knifed up, scarred, twisting, aching pain in the lower abdomen that I cannot bare any longer. SO I want to get off of these pills ASAP mid cycle. I have heard it can make you bleed for a long time, I don't KNOW ANYMORE I AM FRUSTRATED and feel like GIVING UP. HELP, can anyone tell me what to do or expect if I stop these pills now midcycle. Should I STICK IT OUT, afterall, next month will be the third month of giving it a shot. Although, I don't know if I can deal with the pain anymore. I hope someone can give me some insight. Thank you. Rhonda
