Well, perhaps I spoke too soon. The spotting has arrived. Mild cramps, hoping they stay just mild. I anticipate a flood though, as I was due for a "period" anyway. Sigh.

Good luck, girl! Yeah. Same w me on paper during regular workups. And I hate when they consider "normal" even if u r within one point of "normal" range.

LOL, it did make me laugh lol. Gosh I hope it doesn't come to that. Right now its just a flood of cramping, but I am hoping the bleeding isn't too horrendous. I don't expect it to get heavy until tomorrow though. Usually first day or day and a half is light. All cramps, then the blood kicks in high gear and brings some more cramps, then things ease up and I bleed like crazy, then it gets lighter. Now of course that is the pattern of a less hormone induced creature. Who knows what the ol' uterus has in store for me this time around. Its kinda like a game show. "What's behind uterus #1?? No sorry, that's not a fallopian tube, that's right folks, its a brand new cyst!!!..... You've just won a weeks worth of bleeding!, hope to see you next time on "How much will you bleed!" "

So I never really did start an official "period" but I am still spotting 8 days later. My cramping has only been about level 3 and 4 though, so its not been too horrible.
On another note, I cancelled my surgery, and have decided that I am possibly going to pursue another doctor for my second lap, if I even go that far. A diagnosis will not make my symptoms disappear, but it would be nice to have the peace of mind in having a name, and it would definitely make explaining things to other people much easier if I could call it something that has at least some level of awareness, regardless of how little.

Hey girl, I support that decision. I had originally scheduled my endo-removing-surgery with a trusted older General Surgeon - he's a close family friend of my husband's family - but after a lot of soul-searching I instead did a LOT of research, and chose a specialist in endo and excision. It was hella inconvenient, had to travel thousands of miles, stay in a hotel, and spent all my savings for the next thousand years : ) but had the right surgery with the right surgeon and my results were amazing and I learned a LOT about choice and empowerment and feeling good about my decision! I encourage you to find the BEST and MOST EXPERIENCED specialist you can afford. Then, you won't have to second guess your results. (again). My feeling is many docs just don't know enough about endo to know it when they see it, or know what to do with it, and that just sucks for us endo girls! LOL. But we're learning....

Yeah, if you have any misgivings about your doc, best to move on! I can't imagine how you'd feel if you went through a second lap and still got no clear answers. How're you doing coming off the Provera?

Thanks Pretty!!
Yeah, it was a very hard decision for me, because I really like my doc, but I knew it wasn't the right choice to be making. It didn't make any sense for A LOT of reasons. It sucks that I will have to wait, and now do a lot of researching and doctor searching, but I know it is a better choice for me, and overall I will be happier with the choice once I see progress and movement in the right direction.
I am coming off provera slowly. Right now I am back down to 5mg. My mood feels a lot better, but I can feel a slight nausea kicking back in. I am planning on staying at 5mg for a while, and then dropping down to 2.5 for a duration, then I will ease off from there. I am hoping to make the transition smooth.

Glad the transition off Provera is going ok, and glad the mood is improving!! Isn't it scary that some little pills can make such a difference?
And I support your decision to find a different doc. Have a well-qualified doc on your side can make a world of difference. Although it'd be nice to have answers sooner, I'm sure, better to put the time and energy into things on this side of a potential lap, not on the other again!

VERY very scary. I hate that this process is so long, but I guess it will be a lifetime no matter what. So like you've said before Karen, what is a year or 4 in the span of a life time. It will be well worth it to the rest of my life to make the best decisions for my health now, so I may reap the benefits of it later in life.
