If I won the lottery I would love to keep working, the money would be very useful to help my dreams along though... like going to uni with no working part time and paying a butler to drag me bodily out of bed in the mornings. If he looks like Gerard Butler circa 300 that'd be a bonus. I'd like to gift money out to friends to help them with little dreams, set up a foundation and donate to endo research and raising awareness. I don't think it's more important than any other disease but it's important to me and for a common gynae condition it's very much ignored while it's on the rise. I'd also give a huge donation to WWF and PDSA cos I'm an animal person and the PDSA help people on low incomes with vet care. They saved my cat's life when I had just lost my job and my home and I love what they do which is without judgement. Realistically I would love to make the endo cruise happen, and being a huge geography geek I'd love to do a Michael Palin style expedition to find my roots. I've just gotten back in touch with a few relatives who aren't crack pots and it's made me so so happy. Anyone care to share?

I'd fund the cruise, donate to Endo and Cancer charities, do some travelling and set up my own restaurant.

Funny you mention this - on a whim last week, I took my spare change and set out to buy a few lottery tickets. I went to a gas station and asked for them and they said their machine was down. Figured that would have been a sign that it was a bad idea, but I went down the street and bought 3. Not a single number matched.
But, if I ever won some day, it'd be 1. Pay off all my bills, including my house. 2. Find a bigger (but completely reasonable) house for me to fix up. 3. Donate to the Endo Association. 4. Donate to the housing authority that gave me a grant for a down payment on my home. 5. Go back to school. 6. Help my family pay off their home loans. 7. Start a business renovating old homes. 8. Set up scholarships at my the high school and college that I went to, and also the high school that I taught at. It'd be geared more towards women going into non-traditional fields.
As for the rest, I'd likely set up some sort of foundation until I figured out what to do with it.

I'd also get liposuction on my feet. Being tall-ish, I have size 6 to 7 (UK) feet, and they are so wide... because of fat. I put my foot down and my foot doubles in width from all this foot fat that appears. It's useless, cos I';m clumsy anyway, so don't tell me it's there for balance. And on that note, I'd get Victoria Beckham a pan of stew and some bunion surgery. That woman.

Here is what I would do... Jacob's college would be paid for and his childrens education as well Donate to a Endo foundation and start something in my area Donate to the library system of Ohio Pay off law school loans for my husband and homes for us and our family Pay off my medical bills!!!! Open a photography/art gallery for children to display art works and learn more about the gift of photography and art. I would still work at the library. It would be hard to not work at a place I love so much even tho I would have alot of money. I would volunteer so they would not have to pay me.
Now for the fun stuff Endo cruise:) I would also buy my husband the Jag he wants even tho I think they are old man cars. lol Treat all of my girlfriends to a get away to where ever they choose. Buy a old house and fix it up would be my treat to myself. Antique shop at flea markets every weekend:)

Oh man... I'd take a freaking vacation, for once!
Then, I'd pay the bills and my mortgage off. Put away some money for my daughter for college and so she won't have to work to pay for her books and to eat during school and just after.
I'd take some money and self-publish the book I wrote.
If it were enough, I'd definitely quit my job and go back to school full time and get my Master's degree. If anything, just so I can say I did it.
Ahhh... here's to dreamin!

I have to admit, I'd feel guilty winning the money when i know other people who need it. I would do things in this order and I realize it's a bit selfish but I'm honest. #1-quit my job! #2-pay off my house #3-buy a brand new car for my fiance and i (we've always had used and not so great because we're cheap) #4-Set up a trust fund for my son's college education #5-Pay off my parent's house and other debts they may have #6 - Gift my parents a large chunk of money to invest in improvements and land for their cabin (which is their dream) #7 - VACATION #8 - find a job working with adults with developmental disabilities. I've done this work before, incredibly rewarding emotionally, but the pay is terrible.

Anyone play the Mega Millions lottery? The jackpot was huge - the last I saw it was something like $640 million. I never buy lottery tickets but decided to today. I actually won something - a whopping $7!

Did anyone win this supposed "biggest jackpot in history?" My husband bought lottery tickets but I haven't checked them yet.

Looks like there were 3 winners! Illinois, Kansas, and Maryland. Anyone in Baltimore County, Maryland?
BTW - if I would have one, I would have sprung for the endo cruise! And I also think it would be cool to set up grants for those that are uninsured but need to see an endo specialist.
