Thanks girls. I'm home. Quite sore, more than I anticipated to be honest. Pouch of douglas, bladder, left side and other bits he cut away. Looking forward to healing and feeling better!

So, I got the letter from consultant today, that he's sent to GP. Clearly he didn't think I'd retain the info while I was in the hossie because there's a lot more info in the letter!
'There were subumbilical adhesions that were divided to enable access for the umbilical port.
She had a small endometrioma of the right ovary that was ablated. There were discrete areas of endometriosis in the following areas: Utero-vesical pouch, right side wall, left side wall and the pouch of douglas. A bilateral ureterolysis was performed and the rectum dissected off the recto-vaginal septum. All areas of endometriosis were then excised. Interceed was placed over the raw areas at the end of the procedure.'
So, I'm pretty glad I didn't leave it much longer to ask for the surgery!!

Hi everyone!
I had another surgery this month, with a consultant called Ashwini Trehan in the UK. He's private and very expensive but fortunately I have insurance that has helped towards it. I had it on April 10th, it lasted 6 hours. He does a procedure called TPE which is total peritoneal excision. I'll post more about it in the surgery thread. Am healing up and doing ok.
I'd like to get more involved again with this board, so I'll see you around!
