He must not consider you high risk if he didn't refer you to a perinatologist (high-risk pregnancy doctor). I was referred to one, and I hated it. They made me have diagnostic ultrasounds every month, as well as bi-weekly fetal non-stress tests. I'm really happy you got pregnant with the sperm count you were working with! You must have hit it right on with him fuly loaded. Hehe! Congrats! And I'm glad you haven't been referred to a perinatologist!

Having been out of the loop so to speak for quite a while, I don't know your history or age, but I know from experience that you don't always "feel" pregnant. I was 33 when my first child was born 2 days before my 12th wedding anniversary and 3 years and 1 month after an ectopic. I was 2 weeks short of 3 months pregnant before anyone could confirm that I actually was pregnant. Even the pregnancy test were negative. Only the one done with blood work came back positive. Now with my second child born when I was 2 1/2 months short of 38 years old, I found out very early. However, I went to the doctor complaining about very low abdominal pain, especially when rising. Congratulations. I hope everything goes well. I did have an amnio with my second which showed she was healthy. The reason I chose to have it was that they had said I had 1 chance in 225 of having a child with either Downs syndrome or spina bifida and because of that it would be advantageous for the child to know ahead of time in order to have special equipment in the delivery room to use. Like most mothers, I would do whatever it took to ensure the safety of my child both before and after birth.
