Hi,
I started tracking my cycle back in March. I worked out that my last cycle was 31 days based on the day when I get proper bleeding starting. I usually get 2-4 days brown spotting before hand. I also get some quite strong sporadic cramps.
We did have sex around the time that I ovulated this month and I feel as if I did definitely ovulate, though I am waiting on the results of a progesterone test to know for sure.
I am on end of day 30 and I have been getting some light twinges but no spotting at all as I usually would. Absolutely none. I'm starting to obsess about it! Its wierd how that happens. I'm probably just barking up the wrong tree! Maybe I'm just having a long cycle and my periods are more irregular than I thought.
I'd appreciate it if you could let me know what you think. I've got a test that I could take tomorrow...its not something I've done much of before though.
Thanks
Miriam

I'd say that if you're not sure definitely about ovulation and dont' want to wait on progesterone tests in the future...try charting your temperatures. Then you'd know for sure.
I'd say test in the morning with first-morning urine. Before you drink anything, etc. That's when the hormone would be the strongest/register early.
Good luck. Let us know!

Oooooooh my god. I am actually pregnant. The test said 1-2 weeks!!!
Wow. I thought it'd maybe never happen. Thanks for your advice Ouchy. I've no idea what I should or shouldn't be doing. We're away on a camping party tonight. No booze for me then! Don't even know if I can be doing any exercise or going in the cold sea for a swim!
What do you think about telling people?
Wow again.

Oh what awesome news! Congrats!! They say to wait until 12 weeks as it is usually the best time as you are less likely to have complications, but whatever you are comfortable with.
Some women need to take extra care when exercising. Check with your doctor before starting any exercise as I know thorugh numerous friends and siblings pregnancy that a general rule of thumb is to keep your heart rate below 140 beats per minute.
Congrats again, and Ouchy is more than willing to give you loads of advice having already gone through all of this first hand.

Hi, Thank you so much for your positive comments, and I wish you all the best if you are trying! I'm not getting many symptoms right now except crampy feelings which are really disconcerting and a vague nausea at times. I think the cramps are normal based on what I've read elsewhere but they are mainly to the left side which is making me totally paranoid about ectopic pregnancy! I've only got one ovary and tube and I've got it into my head that the embryo is stuck in the tube! Also the twinges and occasional cramps are quite like endo twinges, which again is disconcerting. Its my partner's birthday today, and when he got home he was greeted with a letter regarding his sperm sample, saying that it was 'mildly abnormal' and he has to abstain for 7 days and do another one. We're now really worried about what this is about! Is it just that it was low volume last time (which it was) or is it like a genetic abnormality or something. Sorry if this is not the right place to put this post. I'll keep folks updated. GP appointment on Wednesday and I'll be pleading for an early scan and special measures given the endo!!! Miriam

The cramps are likely 100% normal. An easy way for you, yourself, to see if it is ectopic or not, is to make sure your hCG levels are doubling every 3 days. Basically, just use pregnancy tests with lines and take them 3 days apart. If the darkness of the line doubles, then your hCG level doubled. You can also have this done at the lab for exact numbers. Tubal pregnancies dont' usually double. Usually, endo doesn't constitute a high-risk pregnancy, so usually no "special measures" are given. That is a great thing! I'd say go get your hCG levels checked at the lab, though! As far as the semen analysis, there is not enough info on being "mildly abnormal" to know what that means...motility, count, etc. Just don't know. Good luck! And congrats again!

Thanks Ouchy,
Went to GP today. Didn't have to ask him, he referred me to early pregnancy support service as well as usual midwife. Also he asked for an early scan. He pretty much said he thinks there could be some elevated risks or complications because of my gynae history.
Anyway at least he's handing me over to the ones who know best and will do the blood tests soon etc.
No major symptoms yet, darn it! I want to have sore boobs etc, I will find it reassuring that all is progressing! Still a few twinges, albeit slightly less in the last couple of days and really bloated last night, but feeling disappointingly normal today! Had to do another pregnancy test today to prove to myself that it is still happening!
Shame about the GP. He didn't seem very bl***y congratulatory about it, and we found out yesterday that my partner has only 7% sperm count out of what should be 15-25 so god knows how we've done it and I hope others on here who are doubting see that its possible to get to first base! I'm thinking of moving to a GP nearer me that my partner has, only thing is they don't know my history, the one today knew it without even looking at my notes and even if he's not that warm about it all, at least he's being responsive.
Hope you are all well sisters.
Cheers again,
Miriam
