So, we've been trying to get pregnant, and I think I might be; my period should have come on Saturday and it didn't. I'm usually regular like clockwork. So, very nice, glad it worked, and all that.
My questions:
- Can I still drink my morning 1-2 cups of half-decaf? I fear carnage if I don't.
- I'm flying to Egypt and possibly Turkey in four months. I'm not worried about flying pregnant (I know so many women who have gone to both of those countries, specifically, in their 2nd trimester, and had a fine time - I know about walking around on the plane and drinking bottled water etc.). But should I avoid going through the walk-through machine at airport security? Should I/Can I request that they wand me instead? Will that request be honored? TSA employees can be odd, to say the least, and I have no idea what Egyptian and Turkish airport staff are like.
- I'm a serious exerciser (see http://www.crossfit.com; been doing that for 2 months and other stuff before that). What's the real lowdown on exercise and pregnancy? I'd like an answer for/from women who are already really into physical training, and not the over-cautious kinds of answers I get from a) some of my more paranoid friends, who didn't do anything during their pregnancies, and b) lawsuit-averse doctors.
- When am I supposed to tell my dr./ob-gyn that I suspect pregnancy, and make an appointment?
- How do I find the right ob-gyn, midwife or doula, etc. to see me through? I don't want to go with my current ob-gyn, as I feel that she was too laissez-faire about my endo (to be fair, so was I until I went to a specialist, but still).
