I wanted to share with you an alternative treatment that I am using for my endometriosis and that I am very excited about. It is called mesology. It uses a combination of the acupuncture points, meridians and diagnosis (puls and tongue diagnosis), ayurveda (Indian way of looking at health&sickness), homeopathy and orthomolecular stuff. What I like about it is that it uses a machine to measure the energy flow through the meridians. In one hand you hold a metal bar and the therapist then pushes a pen-like metal point on the acupuncture points corresponding with for example your liver or kidneys, oestrogens, etc. If everything is ok the (very small&harmless) electrical current send out by the machine flows easily through your body. This is translated into numbers by the machine: it needs to go up to 50 in a fluent movement. If there is a blocade or something it doesn't reach 50 or gets there very slow or both. Then the therapist can add the medicin they want to use and put it in the machine. This way the machine thinks that the medicin was added to your body system and so they can test the effect of everything on the energy flow BEFORE you start using it. They can also test things that you are already using like the multi-vitamin complex I am using already for years which turns out to do more harm then good...
I thought the theory my mesologist came up with sounded very plausable: the womb tissue that is causing the problems in endo has a few "brothers and sisters". All these tissues have in common that they connect the body the outside world and produce watery or slimy stuff to keep them moist. Like the lining of the stomach, the gut, mouth, basically the whole intestinal tract and also the eyes and of course the womb and vagina. All these same type of tissue originate from only 1 master cell from the embryo state. This master cell differentiated to all these different forms. But with the endo the womb tissue is very irritated and this resonates to the other tissues making them more sensitive as well.
In my case my gut reacted very strongly to gluten when tested by the machine. So I switched from wheat and rye free to completely gluten free (which is not easy btw). My therapist tested that I am not allergic to gluten, my gut is just oversensitive at the moment and doing the gluten free diet will calm it down. (which is great because it means I can probably enjoy a warm coissant again in about a half year or so!!) At the same time the homeopatic medicin she prescribed will strengthen and calm all my "slimy tissue". Hurray, because my eyes were getting infected all the time as well lately.
I'm doing this now for 5 weeks and I just had my first period. I was still in pain but it was a different kind of pain. The hot, stinging, intensely painfull gulfs of pain (like bubbles exploding inside-type of pain) were not there! I can't believe it, I actually slept through the nights and did not need any painkillers.
I have not found this type of therapy on the internet in English. There is a Dutch website: www.mesologen.nl
and a German website: www.mesologie.de
Perhaps anyone recognises my description and knows the English name for it.
So much about mesology. Tomorrow I'm starting Hormone Yoga as well. I realize that it will become hard to tell what is the effect of what, but as long as I become painfree (and pregnant would also be nice...) I don't really mind ;D
