I've asked a couple of my girlfriends about this, but need to expand my audience because they both just looked at me in the oddest way!! Has anyone else ever had bleeding (just light spot bleeding) from your vag when having a BM? And before you ask yes i am sure that's where the blood is coming from, that's what everyone asks me! Its not coming from my bottom!!! I told my gyn about this and she also looked at me oddly and said she'd never heard of this before! In her words, i really am special haha. So anyway, i'm having LLETZ surgery on tuesday and she said she's going to take a look in my bottom while she's at it to see if she can figure it out. How nice of her to do this while i'm out, because apparently they also do it without anesthetic just in the dr's rooms. Now that would not be pleasant! So...anyone else experienced this odd phenomenon?

I used to have this problem as well. This would often happen when I had to strain to have a bowel movement. I would have a gush of bright red blood (sorry if TMI) and would have spotting for a couple weeks at a time.
When it was happening, I didn't know I even had endo, and my doctor never linked the two together. She sent me for an ultrasound and did a PAP, all which was normal, and no further tests were done at that time and I figured this was just normal for me.
Since having my second daughter over 2 years ago, I haven't had that problem at all. Other problems, yes, but this has stopped.

The whole thing is TMI haha, but i do appreciate your response, thanks. Good to know that i'm not a medical freak or the only one this happens to!! Can i ask if you were on BC when this was occuring? My theory at the moment is that the pill caused endo cervical ectopy (thickening of the tissue of the cervix) which probably tenses/contracts/rubs/tightens (whatever it does) whilst straining and then bleeds... Its just very strange though! And is a little freaky. Anyway i guess i'll be able to test the theory soon, see if it stops after i have my LLETZ. Thanks again lassy, i'm glad it stopped occuring for you!
