So a week from today I'm having a Hysterosalpingogram (HSG). It's not a complicated procedure, but I'm still incredibly nervous! We're doing this so I don't have to have another scope, as a HSG will open a women's tubes a bit if they are in fact blocked. I read about the procedure on Google and apparently they put your legs up to your ears and inject a small catheter into your cervix. Dye in then injected into your tubes... what scares me most is the tech said I should expect some cramping after! Cause that's what I want more of! Haha. Either way, I'm glad we're doing this test, as apparently it also shows polyps AND adhesions! So, instead of going straight in for another lap, now we can see what's going on without going under!
Eeep! Still scary though. LOL.

You'll be fine! Hopefully, the procedure will put your mind at ease.

Eep that sure sounds like fun! But yes, i'd say its better than for them to go poking around during surgery, anything where you don't have to be knocked out has got to be better for you. Hmm the purple dye sounds familiar...when i had my lap, the dr asked if she wanted to test my tubes, by flushing them with dye. It was purple. I wasn't awake when they did it though, but the froggie possie is a little startling!!! Hehehe the funnest part was leaking purple for a few days afterwards

I had an HSG done a few years ago, and it was no different that any other gyn exam. No strange positions, unless something has changed! There was some cramping, but I've been through worse. But the anticipation can be so hard! I requested sedation because of my panic attacks, so that's a option if you need it HUGS Leisa
