Hi
I had a lap approx 5 weeks ago, i went back to work after a week and half and am only just now getting back to feeling like i can do more then just the basic movements (i went for a 30min walk on the weekend and woke up the following day like i had run a marathon). The whole procedure was a lot more painful then i had anticipated, i suppose i was using 'wishful thinking'. I have had bleeding and discharge everyday since the lap, only in the last few days it has eased off. I have kept in contact with my clinical nurse and she said although its not common its not uncommon either to take 6 weeks to recover, my lap was operative and endo was removed and some cysts.
Id like to know though if anyone has gone through the following things i am experiencing and know are surgery related and causing me some distress.
Firstly i have broken out in pimples started on my neck, then under my chin, down my chest to clevage line and on my shoulders and on my chin (no where else on my face) they are red lumpy pimples most dont have yellow heads. They are actually quite painful.
I went off the pill before my surgery and had an IUD inserted to deliver hormones directly. I wonder could these pimples be a result of changes in hormones and levels while my body transitions. I have topical skin care products from a dermotologist but they dont seem to help.
I also am getting what i imagine a hot flush is like (im 27 and havent had one before just going by the symptoms) My cheeks all of a sudden start to burn up, they go bright red, sometimes it spreads to to my chest. I feel like i am on fire and have to strip of my clothes wash my face etc and sit til it passes. This normally occurs when i am standing up talking. I dont have a temperature though and feel i am in good health.
Could my hormones be really out of wack and causing these two things? has anyone else had this? has anyone else had a longer recovery then anticipated. Im starting to get more and more concerned how my body is recovering
thanks for any advice
