Has anyone else tried acidophilus for intestinal issues related to endo?
I have endo in my intestines and am trying to not do surgery since fertility is my main issue.
I decided to go on birth control continouisly for about 9 months (or until I can afford IVF again). I am also now wheat free and have started taking 1 10billion count acidophilus each day. Man, it has done wonders for my intestinal issues. The change was almost immediate.
I've also started more vitamins (omega 3, calcium, vitamin 6 and b-complex).
Just wondering if anyone else has tried acidophilus and also had good results.

I have the best results with probiotics when taking them with fiber.

can i ask how bad your endo is on your intestines? if it is there and causing you pain then i would suggest surgery as i had intestinal endo and not only did i end up having a double bowel re section i had a large endo nodul stuck to my rectum that had it been left would have led to a complete bowel bloackge.
Its hard to say you dont want to have surgery in order to preserve your fertility but if i didnt have surgery pregnancy would never have been an option, they cleaned up everything removed lots of things to enable me to have a better chance at it and also relieve me from the pain.

Probiotics and fiber here too. And yoga! Specialy the twist poses that massage the belly. Plus what helped me too, to my own surprise, was to drink more. I thought I already drank enough with 1.5 to 2 liters per day but when I raised that to >2 liters, WOW! Makes sense in a way, the fiber needs to be hydrated otherwise it just makes it worse.

I had a colonoscopy in April and they said that the endo was in my middle layer but they feel that it has actually gone through because they had to test me prior to my period and not during so they couldn't tell for sure.
I have improved a lot but am also on birth control so that is calming everything down at the moment.

I use acidophilus for a week after any round of antibiotics, and it works well.

Hi everybody. I usually (meaning every day) have diahrrea and having just been checked for gluten, fructose and lactose intolerans I still have no answers. So I read that acidophilus is good to take for endo girls with such problems. Now I have just started my first package and I am excited if I will see any diffence. Have any of you got experience with acidophilus? I will let you know how it goes:) Anni
