Before I went on bcps, right before my period I would get seriously high fevers that would last a good two days. Also, I had chronic sinus infections, about one a month. Those things cleared up aout 7 months ago, oddly enough...I haven't had an infection in about 6 months now, knock on wood!
I have arthrits in my right wrist, but due to another serious injury. And my allergies are insane. I'm so allergic to carpet, it's not even funny.

tess - just a note, chronic sinusitis is a continuous sinus infection that lasts 12 weeks or more (I've had the SAME sinus infection for about 5 years straight, despite 2 surgeries!). Recurrent (or acute) sinus infections usually last less than 4 weeks, and subacute last 4-12 weeks. It sounds like you have recurrent acute sinus infections.

wow! it is truly wonderful to see so many women that have the issues I do! I have IBS, autoimmune difficiencies (I get sick a lot), degenerative lower back muscles (from the constant lower back pain), vaginismus (can't even have sex anymore), fibrocystic breasts, extreme fatigue, depression, hormone imbalances, memory loss, and of course the head of this train - endo. I'm sure I've forgotten a few things... that happens a lot. Every time they tell me something new, it always has to do with endo. It is so frustrating.

Wow that's really fascinating and now makes sense to me. To all my friends I'm known as "the sick girl". We laugh everytime I again get diagnosed with something new or have another bought of sinus infections, colds, or flus. I suffer from migraines and tension headaches, chronic fatigue and many other annoying things. Kind of makes sense now I guess.

I was diagnosed w/ stage IV endo back in 2002 and then diagnosed w/ lupus in 2003. My mom actually had both diseases as well so I always just assumed I got hit w/ the bad genes...haha BUT there is a study going on in NYC to see if endo and lupus go hand in hand (or immune problems).

I guess it's just bad timing. I was hospitalized through all of this and never got any realy answers. I also am really tired all the time and am always geting sick. I have high anxioty and IBS...it's funny that we are all in this boat with a lot of he same sysmptoms and still doctors haven't found a conection to it all...i'm glad you're all here.

interesting to read this, as i said in intro i havnt had any tx for endo since '90. ( no ins. ) but i have since mid twenties noticed sinus allergies and chronic fatigue syndrom. now in my thirties sinuses are a nightmare, and have delt with depression, as well as symptoms of fibromyalgia. i should also say (left out of into) my mother also suffered endo, but not until after 2nd child and had emerg hystrectomy at 22 because of hemmoraging. she has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. my symptoms (of fibro ) have mainly been coming on in last 6 months , any suggestions on how to manage it? or am i doomed as i slowly fall apart ?! lol oh by the way if seeking tx for depression i strongly suggest natural alternatives. personal experience left me 30 lbs heavier within 3 months of drug tx!! i have taken myself off meds, now about 4 months ago. and no sign of symptoms returning. i also have joined a womens workout center, which helped a great deal. thanks for the info guess i'll be looking further into immune problems now.

Hello Peeps, I have: -chronic atopic eczema (arms, breast, hairline, scalp, ears, neck, eyes and thigh) -irritation inside my eyelids (partly related to eczema and also because I have keratoconus) -Vitamin B12 deficiency (for which I have injections) -an undiagnosed immune/neurological condition labelled "functional disorder of the nervous system" -chronic inflammation inside the bowel (Crohn's has been ruled out but I have relatives with colitis...and it's not that, so they think it's endo related) -allergies to house dust mite, animal dander, pollens, shellfish, some preservatives and drugs -hayfever Still awake? Well done for reading this far!

I was always allergic to chemicals in science. I couldnt go to science because my whole body would ache and my skin would be bright red and flushed and itching.
Since I was a baby I have had severe allergies to detergents and my mum couldnt take me shopping incase I came in contact with the detergent section in the supermarket.
I have allergies to dust, eczema, penicillin, sulfur drugs, latex condoms, hayfever, I get muscular pains a lot and joint pains which I havent found out about yet.... my brother has asthma and eczema, my mum has hypo thyroid, severe hayfever and symptoms of endo, my dad has diabetes type II, my nan has severe rhumatoid athritis, diabetes, B12 deficiency, penicillin allergy. My cousins have ezcema and nut allergies and the girls have symtoms of endo and hayfever. Its the terribly polluted environment we live in, our immune systems have turned on us :S

Hello Sisters
I've had very severe dandruff since I was about 8 years old (now 44). For the whole of my adult life I cannot remember a day when I felt full of life and vitality, just constantly tired. I'm allergic to Tetracycline (antibiotic). Any viral or bacterial infection doing the rounds guess who will pick it up? YES ME!!!! Memory loss (I think that's just because I'm getting old or is it? Don't know can't remember.) Depression, I think is because of the Endo. Who wouldn't having to face the pain each month and thinking why me.
Can I suggest Milk Thistle. A herbal tablet. It detoxifies the liver. It gives me a bit of a boost in the morning when I'm chasing after my nearly 4 year old little girl.
I think wheat/gluten has a lot to answer for. So I for one have cut out gluten related products. I have the odd slip and I feel very tired after having the criminal.
God Bless all.

I never realized that all these things could be connected until now reading all this. I have TMJ, migraines, allergies(which started acting up really bad about a year and a half ago), carpal tunnel, & I suspect that I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. I am always tired and not just 'oh I didn't get enough sleep' tired, but 'run down, can't get out of bed' tired. I hurt a majority of the time. I can't even get through folding a whole load of laundry without my arms cramping up and my back aching. My muscles seem to always hurt. It hurts to stand for short periods at a time(like making dinner). I am just tired of being tired and in pain all the time. I'm tired of my neck hurting all the time also. Last time my doctor did an x-ray of my t-spine because I hurt my back; he said it showed mild degeneration of my discs. Would that be related to endo somehow? I also have an enlarged lymph node on the left side back of my neck and am wondering if that is somehow related b/c it has been enlarged for almost two years now. I also have itchy skin constantly for the past two years and no one can tell me what it is. They just told me to keep taking Benadryl. I'm sick of taking Benadryl all the time. I wish they would find the answer and fix it if it can be fixed. It is so annoying to itch all the time. I itch everywhere and have tried everything and nothing except Benadryl helps, but I think that's only cuz it makes me sleep. Anyways, thanks for listening to me rant about my issues. It sucks having to go through this, but at least we are not going through it alone.

Yes endo is a quite complex illness. I read somewhere that in fact every endo patient is unique, we all have different symptoms and even if endo is on same organs on two different people they will get different symptoms and for me sometimes I feel like that 'saying': "all roads lead to Rome", all my health issues lead to endo! but sometimes that can play against us since I notice that my doctor sometimes take the easy road to blame any of my health issues to endo without doing any further investigation, and that could be dangerous like if you have a right side pain and they assume is endo and then you end up having an appendicitis, so they are some side roads that don't lead to Rome!

It is so interesting we have so many symptoms. My gyn made it sound like nothing was related (my main complaint to her being digestion). They are so concerned about a cancer tumor reoccuring, they don't even bring up endo (she is gyn oncology, and endo is not listed as a specialty). Their answer to me was to put me on the pill non-stop, and that was it. I just got diagnosed summer of 2007 w/both the tumor and endo.
I have allergies to penacillin, sulfa drugs, various lotions. I am tired all the time. Just was told I was iron deficient, so I'm taking tabs now and maybe that will help. Get very cold when its cold, can't handle the heat when its hot out.
I've had on and off, sometimes debilitating, joint pain for years: shoulders, knees, wrists, hips. I do recall once being told I had a positive rheumatoid factor, that was a few years ago. I went to an arthritis specialist to see about the joint pain, wondering if it were lupus. he said no to both and sent me on my merry way.
I was told I have osteopenia, basically thinning bones on its was to osteoperosis. I feel like I read somewhere that we may have a harder time digesting and getting vitamins out of our food? Am I remembering correctly? Perhaps that lead to this deficiency?
One thing nobody mentioned here, and I have been meaning to ask: MELANOMA. Anybody have it? I got diagnosed w/one on the palm side of my hand fall of 2006 (prior to endo). I recently read there may be some corrolation to endo and melanoma. The doc really didn't think it was due to sun, since its location. He said it was probably hereditary (nobody that I know of) or chemical, and that I just need to keep getting rechecked.
I think the doctors should come on this board and read some of our postings. Maybe they'd learn something and finally take us more seriously!
