The idea is to figure out if there is any correlation between childhood medical history and later endo. There might not be, but it's worth a look. If you can think of any other things that might be related, please share those, too.
There's a lot of information about endo and the immune system, but I haven't found anything that mentions whether women with endo had immune system problems or other health problems prior to their first period. If any of you know of any research on this, please share! :-)
Personally, when I was little, my immune system overreacted to everything. My glands would swell up everywhere if I sneezed. I was a very colicky baby, and I couldn't handle temperature changes. I also may have had childhood depression, though it was never diagnosed.
Thanks, ladies!

Sorry, nothing like that, i was a very healthy child actually. Apart from lactose intolerance as a bub that i grew out of but it came back when hormones kicked in, wouldnt say i had any probs before i got my first period.

Your poll only let me choose 1 (colic) but I also had an intoloration to extreme temperatures (have suffered with prickley heat all my life), many throat infections.

Hi,
I was blessed with a mum who fed me on natural foods and she attributed this to the fact that I didn't throw up for the first time until I was 12. However, I have had candida since I was seven. I recall having post viral syndrome after a throat infection at 11 which developed after a week of strenuous stage dance performances.

I got all the kiddie stuff going pretty much, had my tonsils out at aged 7 after recurring tonsilitis. Had the occasional recurring allergic reaction (to strawberries apparently). Going back even further - the future health of a child can be somewhat predisposed by the health of the parents at conception. My mother was recovering fom glandular fever at the time I was conceived.

The beginnings of migraines and GERD.
Had a few of the normal childhood illnesses (roseola is one I can remember my mom telling me I had when I was little), but for the most part, very healthy.

Hey cool poll. I only had migraines as a child so I picked the neurological disorder. Other than that, I was a very healthy child. I can't comment on the extreme temperature intolerance because I grew up in southern California. HAHA
