I've got something that made me wonder what in the heck happened during surgery. Of course I know better (that the first sentence is more of a joke) than to think something truly happened BUT.... this is whats going on. Since my surgery 11/1/06, my breasts have become very sore, swollen even. I figured well okay. I guess it is just because I am having my cycle. See, when i was told I had endo, I was only allowing my body to have a cycle every 4 months. When I came out of surgery this time and was told that I dont have endo, I stopped taking the BCP's and I went from the light bleeding from the lap right in to my cycle. But nothing was un-typical from what I normally do every 4months, except the surgery. Anyway... Last night I noticed that my breasts are leaking! Yes LEAKING as they do when you have just had a baby and are breastfeeding! The funny thing is that I had told my husband that my breasts hurt so bad that they felt engorged as they do after you give birth. I just guess my body and hormones are all out of whack at the moment. Although I will say nothing is different BUT the surgery. When I allowed myself to cycle, I would stop taking the pill, wait a day or so and my I would come on. With in 7 days, I was finished and would resume taking the pill. I am just now 7 days out of surgery. So why are my breasts so sore and producing now. That is what is getting me. Anyone else had anything like this happen?

Well I definately know I am not pregnant for several different reasons. 1. Just had surgery and they do a test before surgery 2. I have been on continual bcp's for several years 3. My husband had a vasectomy and following that vasectomy had a scrotal hematoma which meant major surgery...needless to say he is DEFINATELY sterile. So yea... Kinda odd huh? **HUGZ**

Hi, Nari. I don't know if this will make you feel better or more confused! When you would take the week off every 4 months, you were actually having a "withdrawl bleed," and it wasn't your real period to begin with--therefore, it was actually a "fake" cycle.
You should definitely consult an endocrinologist about your breasts leaking! There is type of endocrinologist called a "reproductive endocrinologist," and I'm sure this would be the BEST person to ask!
Keep us posted!

If I had access to one I would definately go see one. This place SUX for medical staff. I am hoping that it will stop and I wont have to worry about it. If it doesnt stop though by my post op check....Nov 22nd, ole doc and I will be definately talking about more than just my surgery and photos. Granted, I am enjoying my new size...LOL but not enjoying the pain and fluid that is coming with it. BAH!!

Oh yah, I forgot you are the lucky one w/ the military docs. Well, either way--even if the leaking stops--definitely tell your doc!

No thats not the cause of the Endo. The hormones they put us on is to supress our menstrual cycle to stop the growthof the endo.
