I have a HUGE migraine today from some cysts on my scalp due to hormones. Result: I threw up big time! It caught me off guard as I was walking through the house, and a lot of it came through my nose! My rant is this: How do you get the vomit smell to get out of your nose if you threw up and part of it came out through your nose? I thought about sticking my head in a bowl of water and sucking the water through my nose, but that sounds painful!

I am sorry Ouchy, Maybe try rubbing a scented oil in your nose or on your upper lip so you smell that instead. This wont get rid of it but it may help with the smell.
What do you mean my "Cysts" on your scalp! I have read this in some of your other posting and was curious what it is!

Thanks, tiff.
Well, when I was on one of the many evil birth control pills I was on, Lo/Ovral, my biggest symptom was sebaceous cysts (I'm guessing from the high progestin in it.). Sadly, when I quit the pill, right at/after ovulation (when the progesterone rises), I started getting sebaceous cysts again! (They're like huge, underground zits!) Each month, same thing, regardless of where I ovulated in my cycle--day 42, day 16. Always the same thing! Well, now that I am pregnant, my progesterone is going up, and I keep getting these cysts on my scalp. They're horrible!

I am sorry, I am sure they are miserable and painful. Especially if they cause migraines.

Blow your nose (I'm sure you've already done this), then use Ayr or some other saline nasal rinse. (I used to throw up out my nose every time I got an intramuscular shot.)

I've had rhinoplasty, though, so it is difficult to blow my nose. I have no clue why I didn't think of saline nasal spray, though, thanks!

Ha I was gonna say, those nasal sprays (Vicks is our main menthol product here) that you use during colds may help I had no idea that the cysts were to do with hormones, I had one removed and surprise it's back and changes size in accordance with my cycle. Sorry to get off topic but did you have any removed Ouchy? I had the first taken out cos it was causing a lot of pain, left a big old scar on my head though and having black hair it's hard to miss unless I part it just right xx

I had a sebaceous nevus (oil glad mole of the scalp) that I was born with emoved from my scalp when I was 12 (and I know what you're talking about having a bald spot from having something removed!), but I haven't had any of the cysts removed. They seem to shrink all the way to non-existance after the hormones subside, but you know, they do seem to be in relatively the same place each time they come back. I'm wondering if I should outline them in sharpie marker or something to see if they are indeed the same cysts just waxing and waning w/ the hormones! Maybe I should go back to the dermatologist or something. He just gave me some antibiotic liquid to put on them when they get inflamed. Yikes! Thanks, cherry!
