I have to give my notice today to the company I've worked at for over 5 years. I hate to have to do this but I accepted a new job that has no traveling (I travel 2-3 days a week for my current job and it is just getting to be too much), has good health insurance, and better benefits. I hate starting a new job. Does anyone else hate staring a new job?
Does anyone have a good story on how they have given notice to quit a job?
I know this job change is a good thing for my career and it is the right timing it just sucks. I am going to take a week off between jobs to just relax though.

The week off is a great idea! I have only a bad story of how I gave my notice sorry. The best thing about starting a new job is you get to reinvent yourself a little, and just wear the stuff you feel you look splendid in, so you glow with confidence as well as feeling comfortable in yourself. Congrats with that, and good luck with your new start! xx

Congrats on getting a new job!!!! Ive always found it frightening starting a new job, but exciting at the same time. Its a new start, a chance to learn something new, a major change in your life. Be proud of yourself for making the change, can be hard to do, but youve seen the need to change for your own good. Lap up that week off too, get some much needed and im sure well earned rest.

I don't have any good stories either about giving notice! It's been so long since I've had to do that. I just started a new job after being home with my kids for 8 years. It's nice to get out of the house but now with these endo issues not sure if I will be able to continue working. Good luck in your new job and enjoy it. These ladies are right, it's a chance to learn and grow and make new friends. It's hard and scary but usually worth it in the end!
