OK, so why is it whenever you ring the bank, the gas broad, the sky tv people, whoever, you ALWAYS get put on hold, and it's ALWAYS the same piece of classical music, and to make things even more annoying, every couple of minutes some stupid recorded message clicks in and says "You're call is very important to us, thank you for my patience" or when she says "you are number 2 in the line" but you know you CANT be number two because you've been number two for an hour!!! LOL doesnt it just drive you craaaaaaaaaazy!!!!

One time I was on hold for 14 hours. It was with an insurance company trying to get my b.c. pills covered by the insurance. My doctor instructed me to skip the placebos, so I had to be authorized by my drug insurance to have my refil 2 days earlier. It was morning when the call started and 10:30 at NIGHT when it ended. Every 45-min.-to-an-hour the stupid person would come on and say, "Still checking on it." Then he had to go home and someone else took over the call. It was horrible!

Yikes! I used to get calls from my student loans folks and it would call me and PUT ME ON HOLD! I was like "screw this", and would hang up. Argh!

How on earth did u last so long Ouchy???
I would have given up if it took that long.
I think my longest was 1/2 hour and i hung up and tried another day coz i got jack of it.

LOL. It doesn't mean that I wasn't crying while I was on hold out of frustration! I just hadddd to do it, bc I didn't really understand and thought that if I missed just one b.c. pill, my endo would grow back with a vengeance. LOL. Now I wish that I would have hung up the phone and never received approval!

If I'm on hold for longer then a 1/2 hour, I ask for a manager/sup. Even yesterday, I called my new ob/gyn to ask a few questions. SHe put me on hold for about 10 minutes, no biggie, that's fine. After I asked my first question, she hung up on me!!!! I was furious. I spent the next 45 minutes trying to call back, and every time it rang, I'd get hung up on! As soon as she picked up I said to her, "I'm a new patient, and before you hung up on me before I had a decently important question." I asked for her sup. and told them how I felt. I'm hoping this doctor is worth it...

Gosh that drives me crazzzzyyyyyy The worst incident i had was with a broadband company offering the best deal around. I call them and spoke to a sales person..who happened to take a fancy to my accent ! He would not get of the fone and kept on telling me how my accent reminded him of someone ! I placed my order and was told that i would recieve the Software and DD confirmation through the post in abt 10 days. After 14 days i called to complain to the cumstomer care team and was on the fone for over an hour waiting. Thank God it was a free fone number...i was promised that i would recieve the software in the next few days..same result again. Another fone call another hour or so. I got so fed up and they changed their number to a premium line and it cost me a bomb to speak to someone on the fone. I then decided to cancel my order..but could never get through. I would hear the message " We aplogise for the delay..we are recieving a high number of calls. Please call Back Later .. I wonder why the high number of calls. Stupid Company I thought i'd call the sales line and get someone to divert me..and guess wot ..their SALES line was never bzy and after a few rings u would hear " Good Morning/Afternoon..your through to (who ever) on the sales team..how may i help u !!! I didn't know i could speak so much FRENCH ! ;D ;D
