I'm so frustrated--not to mention the fact that I have a ruined shirt from chocolate when my fudge got so thick I had to scrape it off of the bottom and it splattered all over my shirt! I followed the directions to a "T." I even used a candy thermometer! I should have just followed my instincts and poured it into a pan right off of the stove...but NO. I followed the directions--adding butter and vanilla and letting it cool to 110deg. before attempting to stir (yerrite) and then "pour" into the pan. Needless to say, the stirring didn't go so well, and I wound up with what looked like a'a lava rock! Tasted great, but didn't have much of any aesthetic value. I'm finished with fudge for a while! I was going to make fudge for Christmas presents--sorry, erzulie...your surprise X-mas present is in the trash!

Oh boy... Well lets see.. How i make Fudge is to bring the sugar, butter and evaporated milk to a full boil, stir constantly for 5 minutes when it is at a full boil. Then I add the vanilla, chocolate and marshmallow in and stirrrrrr until fully mixed. After it is fully mixed i pour it in to the pan and let it set for several hours until it hardens totally. MMMmm. Love fudge!

Ah, the fudge. I think every girl who has had a weekend free has tried to make it. Don't feel so bad. I think it's one of those things that we just can't do. Thats why it's so expensive in stores.

Boy --- Never start a diet when the holidays are approaching!! (Although I've lost 11 pounds and 16 3/4 inches since the beginning of December ---- YEA ME!!)
OKAY back to the fudge. I made some last year that turned out really good. I got the recipe from the web after watching it being made on TV. I believe it was done by Rachel Ray. It had very few ingredients and was very easy. It took less than 10 minutes to make. I'll try looking for it again.
