I'm mad! Ever since I had that early pregnancy failure a couple months ago, my cycles are going haywire!!! I went from extreeeeeeeeeemely late to extreeeeeeeeeemly early--and just had an anovulatory (no ovulation) cycle, resulting in my period, yet again, when I just finished my period 10 days ago!!! I'm going for hormone testing on Monday. Stupid body of mine!!! And this period is a waste!!! I didn't even ovulate! And I couldn't even try the progesterone cream this time, because there was no luteal phase! Geeeez! So far, the cramps aren't too bad. Ughghghgh! Thanks for listening to my rant!!!

Sorry for all the body confusion, ouchy. I don't know how I would deal with random blood flow.
I don't think I even knew that you could have a period without ovulating--I thought the two were a pair. The human body is so complex.

Hi, Meka. Yah. Unfortunately, you can have a period without ovulating. Kinda' like when you're on the birth control pill and not ovulating and you take a week off for a "withdrawal bleed" that most women refer to as their "period." It's pointless, but it does happen. Pretty crazy. Thanks for your reply. Thanks so much

Thanks for that link. It was informative.
It makes me wonder now whether or not I'm actually ovulating. I get my period regularly, but who knows whether or not an egg is actually being released? And maybe the eggs are all going into these ever-growing cysts, and not into the tubes.
How did your hormone testing go? Oh, should I look in the fertility section? I never go in there.

I'm actually trying to NOT get pregnant, so I'm using Fertility Friend backwards . Just wondering why this period is a waste if your not trying to get pregnant??

Hi, ann. Being as that I have endometriosis and hate to get my period, I feel that having a period, especially just 10 days apart from my last period AND being anovulatory is a double waste for me! Bad enough that I had to have two periods so close together, but there wasn't even a need for me to have a period, since I didn't ovulate.

We're using natural family planning, but we'll be elated if we have a "surprise." We know we're taking a risk.
