Hi, I come from a small market town in Surrey, UK and have suffered with endo symptoms since I was a teenager. I am now in my mid 30's and have only just been diagnosed after a laperoscopy in August. It is a relief to know what has been causing my symptoms but has been a very frustrating time since then waiting to see the consultant (It will be Thurs this week-at last) My doctor has not been able to help with my questions since and I feel as though I have been dropped from a great height with nothing to catch me. I was wondering if anybody out there could help me with my questions? Basically, my first period after the op was VERY heavy and long and still v painful, I passed masses and masses of ENORMOUS clots (sorry if that grosses you out) and was very concerned that the situation seemed to be worse if anything. As I said the Dr couldn't offer any explanation and said wait to see the consultant. Now period #2 has failed to appear and is a week overdue. I have done 2 pregnancy tests which were both negative. What is going on? ? I didn't have all of my normal pre period symptoms, just odd bits of cramping and early waking. I know I don't have long to wait now to see the consultant but I am going out of my brain here, can anyone help? Thankyou

Hi, neli! Welcome to the forum!!! I understand the anguish you are going through re: your doctor not being there to answer your questions! I think it is inexcusable, no matter how many other patients they have! I don't get grossed out by blood clots. In fact, a number of us have them on this forum! You may have been stressed out by your surgery, and you may have had a late ovulation, causing your period to be late. If you are nervous about that, you can request to have your progesterone tested to see whether or not you ovulated. I think it is called a "P4" hormone test. I know it is difficult, but either way, try to de-stress and relax, as stress will only make your period stay away longer. Good luck w/ everything!

Dear Ouchy
Thanks for taking the time to respond to me and for your kind words which make total sense now that I think about it. I do get very stressed out about all of this and know that that isn't helpful so will endeavour to chill out. The thing is that I would really like to have a baby and feel as if I am up against the clock as I understand that your chances of conceiving rise by 70% in the 7-9 months after a lap. This adds a pressure to the situation which is already tense due to my confusion about what exactly is going on with my body. I have been trying to conceive for over 4 years now and the monthly drama is starting to really get to me. I know that the answer is to let go of it, but I seem to be resisting that. Stupid, I know. Anyhow, thanks again for your advice, I really appreciate it.
