Symptoms:
I didn’t get my period last month and still haven’t received it. I have been having cramping on and off since around the end of August. Sometimes the cramping is mild and other times really painfully but short lived. I have just completed a blood pregnancy test as well as a pelvic ultrasound to rule out all the usual problems. Everything came back “normal”. Ever since the birth of my daughter (2 years ago) I have complained to my doctor that it now hurts when I have sex with my husband. It feels like he is hitting something inside me and I jump back in pain. My doctor has never suggested to me that my symptoms might be Endo, but could they be? What do you guys think? And what do I do?
Thanks so much in advance for your help.

Hi, kelley. As you've probably gathered, none of us on the forum are doctors. The advice you'll receive will be much the same as in all of the other threads similar to this. The only way to diagnose endometriosis is through a surgery, usually a laparoscopy. Here is a link to a thread on this form talking about what a laparoscopy is and what it is used for as it relates to endometriosis. cjlevett.proboards33.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=surgery&thread=1155261432&page=1Good luck w/ everything, and feel free to browse the boards. ~Ouchy

It can be hard to know exactly what's going on when you have pain like that, but I personally think it's worth it to get checked for endometriosis. There's just so much at stake, as it worsens with time and can reduce infertility, and if you find out you don't have it then at least that's one thing you can check off your list. Just my opinion!

hi
I agree with ouchy and sandcastle. Better to check and go for the vaginal ultarsound and endo ( i mean the cyst) might not be seen with a normal ultrasound. then you might hav eto go for a laparoscopy to confirm it.ouchy, i think you an erzulie knows more about endo than many doctors he he.some of us are catching up.
