im 29 i had a total vaginal hyst 2 years ago and kept my ovaries i have had one laporoscopy to be cleaned out from endo since and a laoporotomy about 2 months ago to be cleaned out again, the dr was supposed to remove my right ovary that continues to get painful blood filled cysts but he left it in which makes me mad i was cut pen for nothing so im still in alot of pain although i do not regret having my uterus out its great not having a period anymore
anyone here have your uterus out at a young age and feel better? ive tried many hormones and birth control pills to help my ovaries but it seems to make the endo worse, estrogen feeds endo
other than a heating pad and pain killers i dont know what else to do since they want me to keep my ovaries due to my young age and help or advice id greatly apprechiate it

Hi there ;D
I am also 29 and had a hysterectomy about 5 months ago. I also have endo. and kept my ovaries. It feels great to not have periods anymore, I was always SO SICK during that time. I was in so much pain before my surgery, that I was taking 5 hydrocodone a day, and an anti depressant. I'd been hospitalized several times too due to complications from endo.
After my hyst. I DO feel a huge difference in pain, although it's not all gone. I have a lot of endo. related probelms: bowel, painful intercourse, etc.. but my REAL problem is my hormones. Tests show they are fine, but I"M NOT FINE. I have NO sex drive, my breasts hurt, I am moody and gloomy.... He put me on birth control pills to help, and I can tell a SMALL difference. It's interesting to me that you said estrogen feeds endo. I did not know that......
Are you having hormonal issues?

vitamin b-100 gives me energy and speeds your metabolism i feel better using them stronger not so run down especially when i have to take pain meds these help pick me back up
calcuim magnesium 1,500mg i take 2 at dinner and it relaxes me i was feeling anixious alot from dealing with the pain and it was hard to sleep now im relaxed and can sleep better
Emer'genC super energy booster and lots of vitamin C thats good for the immune system, you might want to try these and see if they start to make you feel better too
i felt good for about 4 months after my hystecetomy ( i was told my ovaries were taking a nap...but they woke up fussy) and then i began to get cysts again so they put me on birth control about a month later i was in the er and had to have a laporoscopy the bc pills had flared up my endo the dr. said it was the estrogen in the pills, so then i was put on progestrogen only pills but kept having pain in my heart so i dont use any hormones at all now just vitamins i feel much better except when its time to ovulate, i hope you feel better
