Hi there, My name is Francesca and I am 39 years old. A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with endometriosis of the bladder. Since then I have been on Lupron as well as hormonal therapy. Due to all of the side effects Lupron causes, I was thinking of having a full hysterectomy. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments? I would love to hear from you--
thanks, F

Hi, Francesca. Welcome to the forum!!! I think I also have/had endometriosis of the bladder. The first sign I was going to start my period was bleeding when I would urinate--and I never had any bladder infection of the many times I had a urinary analysis to check for that! The doc didn't find any endo on my bladder during either of my 2 laps, but then again, I didn't have my lap when I menstruating. Who knows!
As far as Lupron, I have found that more women despise it, rather than the few who love it--but for the few who do love it, Lupron seems to have worked wonders for them--for the time they were on it.
Hysterectomy has brought relief to many women; however, for many women the symptoms have remained even after total hysterectomy--removal of even the ovaries.
It is a very confusing decision as to what treatment to try. There is so much positive and negative info on everything relating to endo. We will be here to support you through whatever you decide to try/do.
Anyhow, welcome to the forum!!!

Hello. Welcome to the board. In January, I had a hysterectomy and removed both of my ovaries. It was a tough decision, as I am only 27. I have been pain free, no bleeding, and am able to start resuming my life. I am now just trying to get the hormones right to fix my sex drive. That has been the only thing that hasn't changed. This board has lots of info from different the many experiences of everybody. Good luck. You can email me if you have any questions or need somebody to talk to. Lynette
