though it's felt like longer. So, I'm 17 and I was diagnosed with endometriosis following a laprascopy, which was done because of the pain which we believed was caused by the ovarian cysts, which were found in early January. Confused? I was diagnosed with the cysts in early January, and the pain got worse as time went on. I have a low threshold for pain, owing to previous health problems, so something had to be done. I had the lap on Valentine's Day, where the doc found endometriosis, deflated cysts ( ), and a polyp on the bladder. Since then, I have had a bladder infection, and I've had vaginal bleeding for about a week. I saw my PC doctor last week because my GYN siad it was GI. They did a pelvic exam and said, nope that's your uterus, you got PID, and put me on antibiotics. So I'm on birth control as well, and this is the period week, and the pain ranges from discomforting to horrible, and I broke down and took something tonight, which led me here. Sorry for rambling. See the doc tomorrow. He may do another lap.

Hey there you...welcome first time poster...It's all very scary when you first find out that you have endo...I'm not much help on all the medical side but I know that it is important to have all the support you can get and to have a really good doctor. It sounds like you are having a really tough time. My thoughts and prayers will be with you...I hope the doctors can relieve some of your symptoms... take care, there are lots of people out here willing to listen and give advice. let us know how it goes with the doctor.

First off, I LOVE your screen name!!! I'd also like to welcome you to the forum. Second, I think your PC may have rushed to conclusions, diagnosing you w/ PID. PID is usually caused by STD's when they go untreated for a long time, so unless you have had STD's in the past which were diagnosed by slide or culture, it is probably not PID. Also, I believe that inflammation on your tubes and all would have been found during your lap, if PID were really the problem (But I am not 100% sure on that point.). You might want to get a second opinion regarding the PID, and I don't know whether or not you are sexually active (if you're not, then also most likely NOT PID), but also to make sure you note that antibiotics reduce the efficacy of the pill. Best wishes, and welcome again to the forum!!! ~Ouchy
