Hi, my name is Stacey, and I am having a lot of problems with out much help from my doctor. I will fill you in on my problems, and if anyone has an advise, I would greatly appreciated anything!
I have always had problems with having large "cysts" between ovulation and starting my period, as large as a softball a few times. Some have ruptured, some go away on their own. I have always had pretty bad periods since I was about 17. I was on birth control for it, until we started trying for children. Since then, I have had 3 children, all 2 years apart, and I nursed them all for about a year. So from the time I got pregnant with my first until I stopped nursing my 3rd, I did not have many periods. Since I stopped nursing until now, my periods have continually gotten worse, and so has the pain between periods. My cycle is pretty regular, 28 days. I have pain that starts around day 10 and can usually tell when I ovulate around day 14. From day 14 on, I have a lot of side pain, sometimes it is one side, many times it is both sides. I feel bloated and constipated a lot. Then sometimes I feel like a cyst will rupture, have severe pain with nausia, pain during intercorse...then I will usually feel better for a couple of days. Then on day 27 or 28 I will think I am starting my period...it will last a day, and then will stop for a day or two, and then starts again. Then it is very very heavy and painful and lasts for about 7 or 8 more days. Lately I have been having a lot of clots, and the pain is different than "cramps". It is more sharp and stabbing. Last month on day 8, I had a lot of very large clots and very heavy bleeding and pain. I went to the doctor who said my uterus was enlarged. I had an ultrasound the next day which showed nothing but an enlarged uterus.
She told me to see how this cycle goes and call back. She thought maybe I was passing some clots that were left over from my last pregnancy (my daughter is almost 3 now!). During this last month, I had a lot of pain with ovulation, and I could feel a large mass on my left side from day 14 until about day 23 when I had a lot of sharp pain there and felt sick. I am now on day 4, started my period on day 1, it stopped for a day and a half and now has started again. I am having a lot of sharp pains in my uterus. I have a cold, and every time I cough I feel like someone is squeezing my uterus tight.
Another weird thing I have noticed last month and this month, is that the skin over where my uterus is feels weird... it is itchy, tingly and numb feeling. It almost feels like what my c-section scar felt like when it was healing, that is the only way I can think to describe it. It is very weird. Almost like my skin is reacting to something going on under it.
I felt like the doctor didn't think any of this was a big deal, and I just hate to go back and feel like that again so I am just trying to find more information.
My grandmother had uterine cancer, my mom had a hyserectomy and was told she had "pre-cancer" whatever that means. The doctor didn't seem to think any of that had much significance...
