Hello everyone.
Just reading your posts have helped clear some things up but I still have quesions. Will try to give a brief history and maybe someone can offer some much needed advice.
I have had painful periods with a lot of bleeding since I was 13, now 27.
In July 1999 after many tests finally a lap was done and endo diagnosed. I went on BC and got pregnant in Dec, without trying. I assumed this meant the endo could not be too bad. After I gave birth and stopped nursing pain started up again but Dr sd it could not return that quickly in 7-01 got pregnant again, on birth control again. After my 2nd daughter was born I tried the Depo shot, to help keep me from getting pregnant and maybe to slow down the endo. After 2 shots I didnt like the way I felt: moody, weight gain...
We just used condoms until Feb 2005 when I started having severe pain and cramping again that I could not take anymore. New Dr put me on Seasonale. I have been happy with it up to this point. Really no bleeding at all which the Dr said was ok with endo. However; over the last few weeks I have had no sex drive but a lot of pain, bloating, cramping, back pain and all the bad symptoms I had before the endo was diagnosed. I have an appt next week and would appreciate suggestions on what I might try next?!? I am done having children but I would like to live without the pain that keeps me from enjoying the 2 beautiful girls I have.
Thanks, Michele

Hello and welcome to the board, Michele. I was told that the endo returned too fast for me. I had my 2nd laproscopic in August 2005 and the pain returned within 6 weeks. I was on pain pills until January, when I had my hysterectomy. I was only diagnosed with endo March 03. If the pain is as bad as you say I would definately talk to your doctor about other options to try. There are alot of gals in the same position as you and can offer lots of advice about what they have done. Good luck. Lynette

Thanks Lynette! I had to post originally under a guest name as I was waiting for my ID/access to be granted. How are you feeling after the hysterectomy? What are they doing for hormones? I am just concerned I was told many years ago they wanted me to get to 30 before they did a hyst. I am scared to have everything removed but I cant live with the pain either!!

I am feeling much better since the hysterectomy. I am only 27 and have 1 child. I saw 3 different doctors, they looked at my records and saw that was the only thing they could do for me. I couldn't get into a subspecialist, because of my insurance. I am still trying to get the hormones balanced correctly, but it still isn't as bad as before. My doctor is willing to listen to me. If I have any questions or concerns about how I am feeling, I call and talk to the nurse. Then they tell me if it is the hormone, usually is, or just normal recovery. My husband and I both feel it has made a big difference for the better. It is hard, at times, realizing that I can't be pregnant again. Then I go somewhere, where there is a lady with 2 or 3 kids running and screaming, and am happy with what I have. Sorry to go on. There is massage and subspecialists, but everybody's circumstances and pain levels are different. I reached my limit and am glad I did what I did. Good luck. If you need someone to talk to, you can go ahead and email me. Lynette

Hi Michele, I too have endo and I am 29 years old. At times when I am on my period I feel like something huge is going to fall out of me. In June of 2005 I was given a lupron shot that was supposed to only last 3 months and they wanted me to come back in to get another in Sept of 05.
Before the nurse gave me the shot My husband and I did extensive research on the net. found lupron to have horrible side affects. But then you see the commercial advertisements on tv and think what the hell they all have side effects.
So I'm sitting in the gyno's office and husband by my side and the nurse ready to poke me and out of the blue I said will I have any side affects right after this, she said NO not at all... maybe a little down the road couple weeks or so. Well I got the shot, on our way back to work separate cars and separate jobs we decided to get a coffee. Instantly I told my husband I don't feel well, My mouth tasted like copper. My throat started to feel funny and then I started to sweat. MY GOD this lasted until December. Did I go back to get another shot HELL NO.
I would be in meeting and I would feel so sick and Headache that I could not even move. was my pain gone in my lower back, YES;.... Did I have MANY other problems YES. Hot Flashes, Major Migraines, Vomiting, Night sweats, I would forget everything and anything.
Now I'm starting over living in a new state, going thru the same pain, on the same birth control, not sex life could care less at this point, The pain is always there. NO matter what. I walk like a little old lady because I'm in so much pain in my lower back.
And I think no matter how many website we read, how many people we talk to in chat rooms or msg boards like this,. we will never find the answer. NOW I am going to try one last thing
All Natural HERBs. Not weed. but healthfood
but the only way I think we get better is to gut ourselves. Sorry to say
Nicole
