Hi there everyone, Carolyn here again - your host from endo-resolved. This new board has been very helpfully suggested by one of the members here at the board. I agreed totally with the idea of a special section that allows women to introduce themselves to other members of the group. It was felt that this area would help prompt more posts to be added to the board and for more dialogue to be opened up. You could give a very brief bio, and include what you are doing right now as part of your treatment/self help regime for endo. I look forward to seeing the introductions here and hope it sparks off more input, and more shared advice and support. yours with healing thoughts Carolyn

Hi everyone, My name is Evelyn and I'm 31 and born in 1974. I don't know why my profile says that I'm 33 and born in 1972. I tried correcting the profile but couldn't find an option to change the birthdate. Oh well I guess that I'll be 33 soon enough anyways. I was diagnosed with endo in October of 05 and have found endo-resolved to be very helpful. I started taking flax seed oil, primrose oil, and vitamin k along with my multi-vitamin, some capsules from natures sunshine called master gland, and folic acid today. 19 pills total per day....Yuck!!! Let me know if there is anything else that I'm missing just to make it an even 20. Along with a change in diet and exercise I hope that all this pill popping helps me with all the endo problems. Wish me Luck!

:-/Has anyone heard of Fertility Blend? There's a website for it. Supposedly, there were studies out of Stanford that concluded that it helped women with endo become pregnant. I just bought some. It's about 30$ a month, and they say you must take it for at least 3 cycles. I was just wondering if it was a waste of time. It seems to have a lot of good ingredients, however.

I have never heard of that Fertility blend. But if studies were done at Stanford, I would have faith in it. Stanford has a great reputation in our family, for medical treatments. Good luck with getting pregnant. Lynette

Hi I seem to keep waiting for the administration to approve my sign in name... Two times now... eventually I'll be signed in as Novwriter... Hi my name is Jane... I have just turned 35 years of age... on the 21st and was diagnosed with endo last month when a surgery to get my tubes tied failed and they found the disease. I have been living with pain for the last 2 and half years... I consider myself lucky because my family is done... and I can simply eventually have my very faulty and nasty looking reproductive system removed... Doc showed me a pic... not pretty... I've been misdiagnosed with possible IBS, colon cancer, ovarian cancer and just about everything under the sun... Even been told that I needed a breast reduction to help the pain... Until they finally figured it out... I found out eventually because I simply could not let it lie... I'm a healthy woman who had never really suffered of anything and I was not going to quit until they found out what was wrong with me...I have friends now that suffer from similar pain... and I have told them that they need not have to live with this pain forever... there are natural alternatives... surgery... hormone therapy... I've also realized that they is probably a whole bunch of us ladies who suffer from this undiagnosed because the only way to truly find out is through surgery... This simple procedure should be administered to women who suffer adnormal pain... It should be ... addressed... not as the last course of action but as the first... so that women who are trying to have children have a better chance at getting some by being diagnosed earlier than later... Just my opinion... Since this disease I have taken better care of myself by the food I eat and the flaxeed and vitamins I take. I am also on a constant birth control that i take constantly without break so that my periods stop... until in a couple of years I will finally get the surgery to remove the whole thing... There are side effects to everything we do... even natural ways have their own side-effects... my suggestion to anyone is trial and error... and don't give... try try again... until you can finally be pain free...
Good luck in your search for a healthy life... Jane

Hello, Everyone my name is Sameera and I am 30yrs old. and 5yrs ago basically I was diagnosed with both Endometriosis. and I have had 2 Laproscopies Surgery so far no help I am still in so much pain and extreme discomfort. at first I was bleeding for over 6months my sex life was worst, depression!!!at first my dr.put me on 11 different oral contraseptives that didn't help then tried Lupron, depo provera shots that made it worse. I had my first surgery and it helped me I didn't had pain and I was back to normal I was happy. then surprise I was pregnant and pregnancy went great I had no issues, after the baby came along I started bleeding and it never stop my pain got worse. went back to dr. she put me back on pills and some depression meds then she did 2nd laproscopy and well that still didn't fix the issue.dr wanted me to try phsycial therapy for chronic pelvic pain it didn't help either and finally my dr said something about going to menopause and if that didn't help to do hysterectomy well I wasn't sure if that was right so I finally decided to go get second opinion and come to find out that I also have Adenomyosis and my orignal dr. knew about it but she never mention anything about it to me. that made me extremely upset however both the drs agree that to fix my problem with pain and bleeding my definate resolution would be Hysterectomy. so now I am depress because I love kids and I would like to have another one but I am worried and I am not sure what to do. It's just been frustrating battle with endometriosis and adenomyosis for me its been hard on my marriage and everything. So my only suggestion to ppl with similar pain is ask you dr as many questions you could do research on Endometirosis as well as Adenomyosis they both have similar symptoms but both are treated differently.

Hi, Sameera. I, too, have diagnosed endometriosis and my gyn. suspects I have adenomyosis as well. The thing about adenomyosis is that they can't diagnose it conclusively until hysterectomy, when the uterus is sent to a lab (or if they go in for fibroids or something and happen to find what looks like adenomyosis, they'll take a biopsy and send it to the lab). Sometimes it shows up on MRI's, but not often. --And if it does, they still don't know if that is what it really is.
I have also been on about 10 different birth control pills continuously to stop my periods. All of them seemed to have horrible effects for me, and I had breakthrough with all of them.
Good luck with everything, and welcome to Endo-Resolved.

Welcome to the board, Sameera. I am in total agreement about doing research. I have had the run around with doctors. I was surprised when I read my reports and discovered things from 3 years ago, that I never knew about. I was very upset. I have just had a hysterectomy and ovary removal. I only have 1 child, and I do love children. I just figure I can watch my friends children and then I get to send them home. I figure if it will help the pain go away and stay away, it will be worth it. Good luck. Lynette

Thanks Lynette for the encouragement I really appreciate it, just very upset with my doctor for not telling me half of my reports as to what she found.. but most hardest descision is to have hysterectomy done. now if you dont mind me asking personal questions after having this hysterectomy hows your relationship with your husband?? did everything went back to normal?? and hows sex life?? mine right now is worse but i would like for it to be great and I am not sure if having this huge surgery would help in anyway??

I don't mind the questions. I'm hear to have my experience help others and to learn from others. It has only been 4 weeks since surgery, but I am already feeling better and counting down to be able to actually having intercourse. My husband is very supportive of the decision and is already seeing an improvement in me. For me it was the best choice I could make. Each person is different on how they respond. I read lots of books and talked to several doctors. Amazon.com has alot of different resources for little many. Good luck, Lynette

now I do have a question regarding the Endometriosis and Adenomyosis, I know that I will have to get the Hysterectomy done to help me with the pain and everything however if I want to try to get pregnant again before I have this huge surgery would that be high risk pregnancy?? i guess iam not sure.

eek. I think that is something you'd have to ask your OBGYN about, sameera.
