I underwent major surgery 8 days ago and have been sad ever since. I cry all the time and am upset about what happened.
When someone askes me how i am feeling i burst into tears.
Is this normal post op behaviour?

Keep your chin up sweetie! I had this problem after my laparotomy but not my laparoscopies. I thought it was because of being in the hospital several days instead of just doing the outpatient thing getting to go home right away. The anesthesia/pain meds make me emotional so I was teary for awhile afterwards.
Sending ***HUGS*** your way!

I was on morphine shots for 5 days during some plastic surgery I had, and it turned me in to an emotional wreck. I was crying, trying to scream, scratching my body up, having nightmares while I was awake, and I tried to kick a nun. I finally had to say no more drugs and just deal with the pain on my own. If you've been on drugs, it could definitely be the drugs causing your emotional lability.
