Okay, so the bf and I aren't ttc, but we aren't really careful either. I've had unprotected sex off of the pill for three months. When I went back to my calender I noticed we had intercourse on a few "key" days.
Also now that I'm back on the pill, because of the way it makes me feel, I tend to either take it at different times...also, I have an infamous habit of forgetting to take the stupid thing at least once a week.
I'm probably being utterly paranoid, but what do you girls think?? In my family, if you look at one of us we get pregnant...It took my mom one try with all of us! And my sister had no issue getting pregnant with four...

Well, since you're not your mom or sister, you can't use them to judge your fertility. You have your OWN cycle, and each woman is different. Sure, you are of Italian herritage, but that doesn't necessarily mean you're going to be popping babies out like raviolis! If you were on the pill, you likely didn't have "key" days unless you missed 2 pills in a row. If you miss 2, you could become pregnant (i.e. it could induce ovulation), and there should be instructions w/ your pills on what to do. Depends if you are on phasic or monophasic, whether or not you just take the missed pills, throw the pack out and start over, etc. You can also use a pack of pills as emergency contraception (usually have to be monophasic, though).

Oh, who knows what I am? I honestly don't know the difference, and you've just given me something to read while I'm bored here at work! YAY.
Haha. My dad expects me to pop them out like raviolis! He's in for a surprise! I always thought that genetics had a lot to do with fertility, too?
When I'm off the pill I ovulate right smack in the middle of my cycle. No fail. I noticed that we had sex on the day of and the day after I ovulated, and I should have known cause I felt it as well.
When I'm on the pill, I feel like I'm ovulating, but I know I'm not. Even when I miss a single pill, I get no break through bleeding or anything. It's usually only when I stop the pill I bleed.

I thought you were currently on the pill?!? LOL! I'm confused.
If you didn't miss 2 pills in a row, you likely didn't ovulate. If you didn't ovulate (bc you didn't miss more than 2 pills in a row), you likely felt something else instead of ovulation???

I am! haha
Remember a few months ago I went off?? During that three months, a lot of unprotected and irresponsible sex went on! lol :X
Now I'm back on, I'm on my 2nd pack - I go through on a 3 to 4 month pack non-stop. I try to not skip more than one day...but sometimes it just makes me feel so gross, I skip it for the break, ya know? ANd I do believe the pill im on is monophasic...all pills are the same dose.

K. That would be monophasic. SO, since you don't skip more than one pill in a row, you're probably not pregnant. If you think there is a chance you are between 2 and 3 months pregnant, take a test! However, if you started your pills again after you had a period, you're probably not pregnant. LOL. Stop the confusion and just test! I want to know!

Oh god. I don't think I'm preggers at all!!!!!! I think my pill is kicking my ass. But I have a feeling that if I do go off the pill for a few months again before a lap, there's a good chance a little mistake might come outta that!! lol
I'm just worried that the fact that I've had sex in times where it seems I SHOULD have gotten pregnant, I didn't....Obviously I don't know if I should've or could've or whatever've, but I just a just have a small fear/idea of what the future could be like ttc. Ya know?

LOL. OKay. Sorry. I was totally confused by the first few posts. LOL. I thought you were thinking you could've currently been pregnant! I thought the title, "A Sign for the Future" could have equaled a potential baby on the way! Now I get it!

And don't worry yet. What you think are your "key days" could actually wind up in reality NOT being key days at all. Also, since the pill jacks with your cervical mucus, if the quality wasn't right for sperm survival, even having an egg present likely wouldn't have led to a baby, anyway. I don't think it's necessarily a "sign for the future" right now. Making a baby is SOOOO complex! Sure, it is simple for tons of people and the timing just happens to align. There is only a small window for egg survival, and the cervical fluid has to be pristine for the sperm to swim/survive. Of those little spermies who do survive, 1/2 of the take the wrong turn and go to the wrong tube! Most likely these are guy sperm, as they never stop for directions. Just kidding. No, but in all seriousness, conceiving a baby is a very complex task.
When you're ready to try, I'm sure a lot of girls on here can give you a lot of tips to minimize your time trying.
