Does anyone have any advice for those of us who are newly trying to conceive? Any type of advice at all? Thanks!

Chart your cycles and pay attention to cervical mucus. Eat healthily and try to find ways to destress.

Avoid caffeine and alcohol
Use over the counter ovulation predictors, you can find them almost any where.
For sure pay attention to cervical discharge. The discharge get sticky and stringy ( when you touch your fingers together and pull them apart it should be stringy between both fingers) when you ovulate.
Try not to get to stressed, TTC can be very stressful. Stress can cause many problams so do your best to avoid it!
In your 2WW avoid any medication that might hurt the egg from implantation.
Hope this helps!

Baby asprin helps people with endometriosis, it is said to calm down the inflamitory response that can stop the egg attaching.
Acupuncture helps fertility
Smoking lowers hormone levels and can cut your chances of conceiving by 40% each cycle!

I would say try not to get stressed when/if it doesn't work the first months (or any other months). As someone who was used all her life to getting result Z if I did X and Y, I found it really, really difficult the first few months when it didn't happen.
So try not to stress and just take each day as it comes. Take pleasure in the little things instead of worrying yourself sick about whether it will happen. This is easier said than done, but we can but try!!
I've also found acupuncture very relaxing.

Chart your cycles (and make sure to take any information you've gathered to your doc. appointments).
TAKE A PRENATAL VITAMIN & FOLIC ACID!!! Folic acid helps against neural tube defects (such as Spina Bifida), which occur at the beginning of pregnancy, often times before women even know they're pregnant, so it's important to take a good prenatal vitamin (all women of childbearing age should take folic acid). Get a recommendation of which vitamin to take from your doctor, because not all vitamins are made equal!
If you get sick, you can take REGULAR Sudafed (it's often times different than whatever is out on the shelf at the store, so ask the pharmacist) or Robitussin DM (1 teaspoon, every 4 hours, up to 4 times per day). NO Immodium, and NO Pepto!
Check every med you take, no matter how insignificant you might think it is, with your doctor.
No saunas, hot baths, tight underwear, etc. for your partner! Also, if you're trying naturally, have intercourse every OTHER day rather than every day.
Relax. Don't expect to get pregnant in 1 month. It really helps me to have my husband massage my hand or back while laying in bed.

Has to do with sperm count. Sometimes it is recommended waiting even longer than every-other-day bc of a low sperm count (gotta' saveup type thing). There is a whole chapter (I think chapter) in that Taking Charge of Your Fertility book regarding timing and sperm count. I don't remember the exact rules, though.
