Good idea denna. I have been trying to conceive for a while now (4-5 years) no luck yet. I've never been pregnant.

I am 33. At the moment I am getting acupuncture and herbs. Ovulex is a herb? or you need a prescription from your Dr. Are you having issues ovulating?

hi jenn,apple..
jenn..i understand how you have felt when you got your period...been there so many times. hey,apple..i'm also 33.i'm not very sure if ovulex is a herb but it sure has help people getting pregnant-i haven't have a good study on it. i think i have a thread on it and ouchy hs replied.have to go back there and read.
i'm so happy to tell you both that BOTH my tubes are open this time- last year one was blocked.I felt like i was walking on air when the radiologust told me that it is open-in fact i can it it but i was just not very sure...if you have done that then you know what i mean.
the radiologist is very nice guy.he even told me that it's a very hifh chance to get pregnant just after HSG it took a lot of pressure pussed to the tubes, not very sure if that caused it to open.have both of you check you tubes?my gynae said, apart from checking our hormones, this is the first thing we need to check if we can't concieve after 2 years...this will help us to waste so much money taking this and that if our tubes are blocked.
doing hsg is not a good experiences though-but if one can get pregnant after doing it,it sure worth it. can you believe i rather have a lap than hsg.
how's the acupuncture doing? how many rounds have you tried it? i'm afrain of needle so i have put in on hold for a while.i'm also taking herbs now.

Hi denna, I am happy for you that your tubes are open! I have my HSG done this year around May. Both of my tubes were open at that time. And this test was quite painful for me but I was happy for the outcome. I also heard that after this test chances of pregnancy are better -they are not very sure why but it happens, not for me though Hope in your case works (usually it is around 2 months after the test). I am still getting acupuncture and it is quite painful sometimes but I'll keep my hopes high even though I have not seen any major results yet... I started around May-Jun so it's been approx 6 months. I have an appointment once a week. How are the herbs workking for you? any effect on your pain?

Hi guys I am sorry to butt in. I am new to this board and I have found very helpful. My husband and I have been trying for while now and it is so discouraging when you get your AF. I have been taking this stuff called FertilAid It is a natural herbal med. To help make your hormones balance and help make you fertile. I hope this stuff works. I go to the RE next month after Christmas it seems so far away. I had an HSG and it is clear. I have had 2 Lap surgeries and still nothing so I really do hope that things work out here. Thanks for letting me in on the list

sure rljslh..welcome..
actually the herbs is recommended by my friend. her colleauge took it after 3 years of trying and manage to get pregnant and my friend got pregnant the second month she took it.i have tried before my laparotomy but didn't finish the prescribe amount, this is the second time i'm trying in.i'm not very sure what is the content coz all are in their scientific name but if it helps i'll sure let you try them.
my hubby just called my gynae last night and he said he wants to see me just after i got my period-he's giving my some injection- not sure what is that. i ate pizza last night and i had a bad cramp this morning-must be the tomato paste..and the wheat.
take care

Trying to conceive and/or trying to rid myself of endo.
Herbs: agnus castus (aka chasteberry) Licorice root (apparantly good for endo)
Homeopathy: Ovarial cyste, sepia and belladonna
Supplements: Vitamin C 1000 mg (Biocare, low acid and buffered) twice daily with meals One a day multi (lamberts, high potency but ok for pregnancy as most of the Vit a is from beta carotene)
Magnesium and calcium (one tab, made by solgar) Combizym enzymes (one with every meal) VSL 3 probiotics (2 a day) Food excluded from diet: Dairy, wheat, chocolate (cocoa), Potatoes, tomatoes (these are the deadly nightshade family)
Foods added: lots of seeds, oats (in the form of oatibix every morning), sweet potatoes, lots of vegetables, some fruits. Basically a really good balanced diet 3 meals a day.
Meds: fludrocortisone to raise blood pressure and thyroxine. (technically I don't need the thyroxine as my TSH levels are normal but there has been many new thoughts with thyroxine that if you have high antibodies to the thyroid and if your free T4 is right on the bottom end of the scale you can take thyroine and get your T4 levels into the mid range) I am having a dr watch over me for this so find a dr willing to let you try.
Started the regime on the 3rd day of my last period (a usual painful one Oct 6th ist day of period started regime on the 9th Oct)
Instead of my usual 10 day period my period actually stopped on the 5th day!!! I have had no pain so far!
I am on day 38 or 39 today, my cycle is usually 32. I do feel like I could "come on" at any moment I have those weird stomach feelings but as yet I have not come on. so I will see what happens...either way my ovaries are getting a break hopefully that will help with the cysts.......I will keep you all posted x

I try to keep the homeopathy to different days to the herbs. The enzymes I take everyday (1 with each meal) The VSL 3 are powder sachets. But to anwser your question I do take the enzymes, probiotics, vit c, and calc/mag every day I sometimes take one day off every couple of days with the multi vit.
I also have 2 new tabs to take but I will do that when I get my next p to make sure I am not preg. These are bio-dim and calcium-d-glucarate and both of these are apparantly very good for endo. I think the trick with endo is to clean your body up (no alcohol etc) help the liver to detox and this will help with the breakdown of excess oestrogen x
I won't take anymore supps than those mentioned or I will rattle!! the supps I am taking do not overlap eachother and are safe to take together.

Been trying for a year with no luck. I'm 24 and have never been pregnant before. I'm having a lap in a couple weeks, and they may need to remove my left ovary because of large endometriomas. I hope they don't, but either way I'm being referred to a very good fertility clinic right after the lap, so hopefully my husband and I will finally get pregnant. It's so depressing being technically infertile and being so young still - I see all these other girls my age who are pregnant or have babies and it makes me sad but I also feel so different because I *can't* have a baby (yet!).
